We had three rooms; 2 in the stables & 1 in the main house. All was perfect, the property is very well kept & laid out so you can always find solitude or company depending upon your mood. The catalan donkeys by the pool were sweeties. We will return!

What a great treasure , nestled high in the hills, after making our way from Alicanti, of the beaten track, up unmade roads, Willem greeted us,and for the next 3 nights this was home from home, what lovely hosts, nothing was to much trouble, we were lucky to arrive on one of the nights Richard cooks for guests, that was a... A lingering drive through the mountains brings you to this unexpected place of beauty, comfort and charm. Every detail - from the way how the place is renovated to the interior to the breakfast is handpicked and handmade with so much love and style. Impressive! And... what a warm welcome by the owners. Definitely a place to come back to.... More

SSSSSSSSSSSH, did you hear something. It must have been the wind. About 15 km away of the Costa Blanca you will find peace and quietness in a form you wouldn't expect so closely to a very busy coastal region. No sounds of traffic, a gentle breeze and a lovely b&b in a green mountain area. The owners did a great... More

Our hosts couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was of a high standard but not at all fussy. It was also exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And the views..... Spectacular!

My husband, myself and my three year old daughter stayed in La Jaima tent in June this year. We did wonder where we were going to end up(!) since there is a very windy mountain road up to the Refugio Marnes, however, when you get there, the setting is spectacular. The swimming pool and view is idyllic and the water... More

We stayed last week in Refugio Marnes and slept in the tent, its a beautiful situated place and you have a lot of privacy. Very close to the swimming pool. In the morning the breakfast was served in Los Establos and we had two times a lovely meal made by the very friendly owners Richard and Willem. We woke up... More

We went there recently to relax and cut ourselves from our busy lives and were very pleased that La Jaima exactly gave us that. Our hosts were lovely and non-intrusive in our daily routine. The swimming pool was lovely and the setting idyllic. Be aware though that at night La Jaima can be quite dark inside while still being quite... More

We spent 4 lovely days here in Sept and really enjoyed it. Willem was a great host and Bas (the dog) was even more welcoming. Lying by the green tiled pool down the path from the house was so relaxing. The hills around are good for walking and it feels a long way from the hustle and bustle of the... More

We spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at secluded hideaway La Ruina in October 2013. The setting really is idyllic - beautiful mountain and sky views wherever you look. Although only 150 metres from the main B&B you feel very much on your own in peaceful quiet surroundings. The donkeys and at night the owls were really the only sounds to... More
