My friend and I stayed one night at el Anon, few seconds after our arrival, we wished we booked for more nights. Unfortunatly we already booked out next stay, and couldn't cancel out booking anymore. The hostel has a great authentic feel, it is very relaxing place, with great views and a great hospitality! The luch and dinner were some... More

Our philosophy of travel is to wander around with a sketch of a plan and an open mind, spending more or less time in a place, depending on what unfolds. El Anon grabbed us right from the start. As Suzanne led us up and down through the maze of terraces and courtyards that make up the public spaces at el... More

Jimena de la Frontera is a neat, old town in the middle of Andalusia's vast farm land and the Hostal el Anon is the jewel of the town. The property is very old, but extremely well kept, so it is a fun experience to stay in an authentic Andalusian building. Every detail from tiles in the bathroom, to stained glass... More

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at charming hostal Anón this week and recommend future visitors to Jimena de la Fra., to book here, as we did. This place must be visited and discovered with all its different levels, filled with new suprices. An attentive and friendly staff and top-class restaurant. Thank you so much for a nice... More

Hostal El Anon was one of the first establishments we were introduced to when we first came to the white hilltop town of Jimena de la Frontera in Andalucia with its Moorish castle on top. It is a boutique hotel with a nice rooftop swimming pool, a restaurant including an almost all-year outside terrace with a view straight to the... More

We always receive the warmest of welcomes from Suzana the owner and her team. We have always been extremely well looked after. Tucked away in the old village of Jimena de la Frontera, El Anon is a retreat from the hubbub of the coast. Its 12 rooms have their own character. The layout of El Anon is such that one... More

we stayed for 3 nights only mid October but we would have loved to stay more...and also to enjoy the restaurant, the pool, to explore more the town and the beautiful surrounding area. We liked the quirky layout of the 5 old houses put together so skillfully, the little maze of courtyards and steps, all the beautiful details with the... More

Spent a few nights here in late September. As its been built up from 5 village terrace houses all on different levels, the civil engineering needed to weld it together has produced a wonderful maze of shady courtyards, secluded mini terraces and interesting staircases. Walk in the bar amid the locals and just take it from there. You want dinner?... More

After several years absence, it was wonderful to rediscover the peace and calm of Jimena de la Frontera, and even more delightful to be reunited with what must surely be one of the jewels of Andalucia - Hostal el Anon. This veritable oasis of tranquility does not loudly or brashly boast its quaint charms; rather it gently and modestly exudes... More

I just recommended this secluded and very romantic little hotel to a friend and her "former" lover...well, to say the least the romance was rekindled here! OK, I confess, it is not just for romance but with the rooftop pool overlooking the charming white village of Jimena de la Frontera, Gibraltar and north Africa on a clear day the views... More
