Not easy getting affordable B&B in the Aberdeen area, especially mid week. Disblair House turned out to be not too far away from Aberdeen and the main towns we were visiting. Room wasn't too big but had all that was required and the en-suite shower room/toilet was excellent. The heating (biomass) had broken down while we were there for two... More

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review for us! We are extremely sorry that the biomass heating system had failed at the time of your visit. We know that the supplementary electric heating source was not what we had wished for you, but we hope it didn't detract too much from your comfort. As for the unmetalled... More

A friend recommended Disblair to me and I am grateful he did. I was a regular guest at Disblair House while in Aberdeen on business for about 4 months. Karolyn and Chris make excellent hosts and work hard to keep their guests happy. Standards are high and the comfort of their guests is their main priority. It has a homely... More

Arriving late, stressed from a emotional funeral, no wish to find an evening meal. Karolyn offered to make some sandwiches and coffee in the amazing lounge. This, plus an open fire, was incredibly relaxing and just what we needed. Our German Shepherd was also welcomed (he even got treats in a little box to complement our chocolates on the bed;... More

Nick and Carolyn are amazing hosts, running a comfortable and convenient and classy lodge which is a blessed alternative to overpriced and under-serviced Aberdeen city hotels. 10 minutes and twenty pounds from the airport in a taxi, to a warm welcome and a roaring fire, honesty bar, extremely comfortable and clean rooms, and service beyond compare. Nick drove u sto... More

What an amazing stay, nothing was too much trouble and the owners went out there way to help us and make our stay as smooth an easy as possible, despite a very complicated booking and lots of changes. If you want to stay somewhere where you are looked after but not fussed this is the place. There is a great... More

I cannot say enough about the whole experience of staying at Disblair House. We were there for 4 nights while attending a wedding celebration for our daughter. We have stayed many places but never have I found hosts who were more friendly and accommodating. They feel like my friends now! The house is very comfortable an furnished with many beautiful... I cannot recommend Disblair House Hotel highly enough. The rural location is excellent, but yet close to Aberdeen. The owners market this hotel as 'your home away from home' and, I have to say that every word of that statement is true. We opted for their 'four poster' room which was the last word in comfort and superb value for... More

This is quite simply a superb hotel in a peaceful and gorgeous countryside location, with friendly hosts and a huge amount of charm. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with an extremely comfortable 4 poster bed and a large en-suite bathroom. There is a comfortable lounge which has a well stocked bar and a very cozy and homely... More
