We've arrive in Cherboug by ferry with car quite late in the day on a number of occasions, facing a journey down to the south. Not going to get too far in those circumstances, we have made Le Gue du Holme our first night's stopover a number of times. It is sited in a charming but fairly undistinguished little village... My partner and I stayed at the hotel for one night, had dinner at the restaurant and had breakfast there too. We had a great time. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. Dinner was really good and the breakfast was amazing. The staff are very polite, friendly and professional. It is located about 15 minutes from the Mont-Saint-Michel so... More

Quiet quaint small French village, ideal place to relax, and only minutes away from Mont Saint Michel. The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The ambiance is great. You feel welcome from the minute you step into the Chateau. The food rivals any 5 star Restaurant, and Mme Pignot is also a great sommelier. It will be very hard to... More

Our first stop on a touring holiday. The town is very pretty, with plenty of "ville fleurie'-style boxes. The hotel is comfortable, with an attractive, reasonably-priced menu taking in good quality produce. Our hostess was friendly and accommodating. In short, a fine advert for all things "Logis".

The room was good and the bed comfortable but the bathroom was poor, with poor fittings. The bathroom was large but had nowhere to put anything. The towel rail was on the opposite wall to the hand basin. I'm not sure if the shower was designed as a wet room but the shower curtain was so grubby looking that we... More

Mme. Pignot runs a very fine and spotlessly clean hotel. We passed here some 2 or 3 years ago a bit late for lunch. Mme. Pignot very kindly and graciously arranged that we could get an omelette even though the kitchen was closed. This was of such a high standard that we vowed to return which we did on August... More

We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel in a small village near Avranches. The hotel is situated near a beautiful ancient church whose bells remain silent at night. Our room (no. 12), faced the garden and was pleasant and very quiet. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. A small point: there was nowhere to hang towels or... More

We have stayed on 3 sept 2014 for one night and we truly enjoyed our stay. Its a pity for only one night. Our room is comfortable and cozy overlooking the garden. We had our dinner, the service and the food was superb. The next morning we went for a short stroll before breakfast and the little village scene was... More

It's a small hotel with comfortable rooms which have been recently refurbished. Rooms are of good size, clean and quiet (but you'll hear the bell of the church at 7 am). The mattress is of good quality. An ipad will fit in the safe. No air conditioning, but the room was cool in mid summer. There is a garden with... More
