I stayed here as a base to attend the Commonwealth Games. It was very good value for money and was a lovely quiet place to stay. My hotel room was on the small side, but very comfortable with a lovely view. Bathroom was of a decent standard. Bed was very comfortable. Could do with updating the TV's though. I only... More

My husband and I were really looking forward to dining here, as 30 years ago we were married here. However the meal was not hotel standard. My husband had prawn cocktail for a starter. It was served on a side plate and the sauce was obviously from a squeezy bottle. There was no bread and butter For the main I... More

Writing this review many weeks after eating here but the experience was the same never the less! Decided to try this place again after eating here a few years ago and enjoying it. The dining room had become smaller and moved into where the bar is now situated which was ok. Ordered our food, both having the Sunday roast -... More

Attended our niece's wedding on sat 12 th and had a great time. Everything went like clockwork and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lovely grounds for photographs Considering the numbers for the meal (app 150) ,no complaints about service and food piping hot, certainly no delays in serving with lots of staff on hand, Food was very good with... We held our wedding at Cartland Bridge and it was wonderful. A huge thank you to manager Alan Todd and his team who could not do enough for us, everyone was so helpful, approachable and professional. Throughout the planning Alan was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, he was great at advising me and letting me come up with my... More

I stayed here while up in Lanark on business. I picked it out from Tripadvisor and their own website, as it looked relatively good, but you never can tell. However, I was pleasantly surprised at everything. The staff were helpful and polite, as well as being just attentive enough to be comfortable. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The... Stayed one night. Good value, £65 inc breakfast. Receptionist and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Warm, clean room. Not top end, but very acceptable. Lovely old building in parkland. May as well eat at the hotel as there is very little of any quality in Lanark, which is a short drive - too far to walk.

Nice hotel in an older building of character. Loved the central staircase and large Bedrooms. The restaurant is only used for breakfast with evening meals served in the bar, which is a shame. Starters were good, but we were disappointed with the main courses. Handy location for a visit to the. New Lanark Heritage centre.
