We held our wedding reception at the Old Priory and we were delighted. It feels cosy and homely but at the same time is capable of hosting larger groups especially with use of the beautiful walled garden. We had full use of the restaurant level professional kitchen and managed to self cater our entire event, which was perfect for us.... More

Wow!! What an amazing place with an incredible welcome from the owners. Booked last minute as visiting the balloon festival - which incidentally was truly spectacular - so didn't arrive here till nearly midnight. Got a wonderful warm welcome in this beautiful hotel and perfect g and t which rounded our day off perfectly - thank you. Wonderful old building... More

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Beautiful surroundings and the rooms were amazing. The owners of the old priory (melody and her husband) were so accommodating and could not have been better. They were so welcoming and made sure we had the best time. We went for my friends hen party and it was the perfect place. The rooms were so... More

Who wouldn't love to stay at this enchanting cottage, with a history that goes back several hundred years. We loved it! Ancient, as is the house, but updated to all the modern comfort you need. Just enough to free our mind and think about nothing. At least, not as long we were staying. We discovered charming rooms, each with there... More

Wow! Where do I start? After a hectic 6 hours of travelling down to Bath to enjoy the bank holiday weekend, we arrived at The Old Priory Hotel and were hospitably welcomed by Melody who showed us to our room (School Room). The room was spotless and in fact had just undergone redecoration in both the bedroom and the en-suite,... More

My friend and I stayed here on the weekend for one night whilst we were in Bath for a visit. The staff are very welcoming, the food was delicious and the room was nice and spacious. They have a beautiful fireplace in the lounge area and the building seems to have a few of it's original features. The hotel is... More

My friend and I stumbled onto this lovely place while travelling through Somerset. It was just delightful. We stayed in the old Abbot's Chapel. Melody looked after us so well. The food was great, the gardens were lovely and it was just such a peaceful place to stay. Melody kindly provided us with a copy of the history of the... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Old Priory Hotel as we were guests at a wedding nearby. We arrived late in the evening and this was no trouble at all for our host. We had planned to check out late and head on to the wedding mid afternoon before heading to our next destination and this late check... More

We spent a beautiful 2 days in this hotel and were overwhelmed with the service offered to us by Melody. Nothing was too much for her and she made us feel completely at ease and at home in her hotel. I have seen other comments regarding the smaller portions at breakfast and I agree but i asked for more on... More

The owners made us feel very relaxed and at home and nothing was too much trouble for them, especially Melody. Lovely garden and room to relax in. Food too was very good. Hotel was in a lovely position for small town it was situated in.
