We were offered Brentwood Hotel after a previous booking we made was unfortunately cancelled at short notice. Before confirming this booking we were told of karaoke in the hotel on Saturday nights from 9.30pm until midnight. This we accepted but on arrival there appeared to be a fancy dress birthday party with a live band which was extremely loud, so... More

I stayed at the hotel in May it was the first time I had been to porthcawl and I was not disappointed, I was travelling alone, but found the bar area to be very friendly both with the staff and locals.

I've read the reviews and I couldn't believe how picky the people are for the price it is a very good hotel I have stayed at this hotel many times over a period of 5 years or so. The rooms vary greatly, but in general are good value and perfectly user-friendly.

We booked three nights at Brentwood Hotel for a short spring break as its location is very good for local amenities. However, the hotel is, in effect, the local pub and could be quite noisy (even verging on rowdy). Our room was small, but clean and with plenty of towels. However, as we were on the second floor the water... More

This is not a hotel this is a pub with accommodation above the bar. I stayed here with my pregnant wife for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) of which both nights were extremely poor quality. I have travelled extensively all over the world to lots of 3rd world countries staying in youth hostels, mountain huts, campsites and so forth and I can... More

I emailed the hotel to check avail for a one night stay, I received a reply confirming a twin room --avail @ £52.50. Later I checked some reviews and had some concerns so emailed the hotel again. Through several emails I was assured bu Rufus he would personally check over our room before our arrival and we would have a... More

The hotel is in a very good spot, close to the town (2 mins walk), local shop and sea front. On arrival we were a little unsure as the hotel is in need of some maintenance and TLC, I checked the bedroom (before accepting) for cleanliness and it was clean, and surprisingly there were plenty of towels. The room was... More

At £22.50 per person, per night with breakfast included, what is it fair to expect? When you consider staff wages have to be paid along with all the other expenses associated with running this kind of business, I would suggest expectations should not be too high. The location of the hotel is excellent, near to the beach and town, in... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel in wales. Bearing in mind that this is a budget hotel I felt the food, entertainment and room was value for money. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for me. Even though my room was small it was clean and warm and was serviced on a regular bases.... More
