Youvget what you pay for so all in all was suitable for the occasion. Friendly staff and within walking distance of everything. A roof and hot water for goodness sake people stop moaning. A bit of damp here and there and a wee lick of paint and away you go.

Unfortunately I did not book this hotel myself, my friend booked it for us as a birthday present for her 13 yr old daughter, and we accompanied them myself along with my 9yr old. On arrival she was issued keys and asked to pay upfront! For the rooms £110.00 for two rooms which is the going rate. However the price... More

This hotel is noisy, dirty, poorly maintained and not pleasant to visit. I was asked for full payment on arrival for the five night bed and breakfast stay. I suspect they were expecting us to walk out otherwise. The room on the first floor looked like a DIY nightmare. Silicon sealant holding stuff together. Door handle broken with screws missing,... We thought this hotel was clean, close to everything, with helpful staff offering a nice breakfast in the morning, we stayed in room 22 which was a nice standard room. We would come again but preferably on the weekend to see the entertainment .

We were offered Brentwood Hotel after a previous booking we made was unfortunately cancelled at short notice. Before confirming this booking we were told of karaoke in the hotel on Saturday nights from 9.30pm until midnight. This we accepted but on arrival there appeared to be a fancy dress birthday party with a live band which was extremely loud, so... More

I stayed at the hotel in May it was the first time I had been to porthcawl and I was not disappointed, I was travelling alone, but found the bar area to be very friendly both with the staff and locals.

I've read the reviews and I couldn't believe how picky the people are for the price it is a very good hotel I have stayed at this hotel many times over a period of 5 years or so. The rooms vary greatly, but in general are good value and perfectly user-friendly.

We booked three nights at Brentwood Hotel for a short spring break as its location is very good for local amenities. However, the hotel is, in effect, the local pub and could be quite noisy (even verging on rowdy). Our room was small, but clean and with plenty of towels. However, as we were on the second floor the water... More

This is not a hotel this is a pub with accommodation above the bar. I stayed here with my pregnant wife for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) of which both nights were extremely poor quality. I have travelled extensively all over the world to lots of 3rd world countries staying in youth hostels, mountain huts, campsites and so forth and I can... More

I emailed the hotel to check avail for a one night stay, I received a reply confirming a twin room --avail @ £52.50. Later I checked some reviews and had some concerns so emailed the hotel again. Through several emails I was assured bu Rufus he would personally check over our room before our arrival and we would have a... More
