The room was clean but very basic, no bedside light, no mirror in the bathroom and only a small 12 inch mirror in the room. The view was of a rusty storage container and broken pallets. The breakfast was good but the price was very expensive £70.00 for b&b for the 2 of us. There is no parking with the... More

Just come back from a nights stay at the Porthcawl Hotel, it's more like fawlty towers than an hotel, first the positives, staff very friendly and a nice breakfast unfortunately that's where the positives end. I have stayed in many hotels over the years and this one is without a doubt the most noisiest I have ever stayed in. Within... More

I booked this hotel for one night for my partners birthday, and tbh I was tempted to ask for my money back and drive back home. When we arrived there was no one at reception then when we finally seen someone she firstly walked off with her phone before dealing with us and was really rude. Then we get to... More

Spent 2 nights here and didn't get to sleep each night due to the nightclub underneath my room!! The breakfast was average and one of the female staff members obviously didn't like getting up early as she was in a bad mood serving breakfast Saturday morning.

Booked this because it was cheap and handy for where we were attending a Wedding. Family room which was huge and on the second floor. The TV didn't work no remote , and no ariel connector . Shower attachment on the Bath was hanging off the wall and the connector between the shower and the bath change over was broken... More

Despite the mixed reviews this place gets, I booked it for a night because it was reasonably cheap, and it was as close as possible to where the bus turns around in the town centre. Checking-in was a bit of a shock, as the bar area seemed empty, yet loud, thumping music was literally shaking the walls. The woman who... More

Got over the fact there is no parking, there's a public carpark really close. The public areas looked fine so wasn't too worried until I started the long climb! We were placed on the 3rd floor in a very shabby double room. The carpet was threadbare and the windows were all opaque with a "view"of a generator of some sort.... More

If you don't really sleep at night, or you like a lullaby in the form of heavy bass music at 200 decibels - this is the place for you! I kid you not, the music was so loud the cups and saucers were vibrating across the desk! The hotel itself is very dated and tired but adequate if you just... More

We were slightly nervous about staying here as we'd read some awful reviews on here but we were pleasantly surprised that we experienced nothing like other reviewers. (Im guessing they must be fake.) Becky was the first member of staff we met, she was friendly and professional. The hotel is situated above a nightclub so it doesn't take a rocket... More

We stayed at this hotel and encountered none of the problems of previous reviewers. After booking in we went to our allocated room, which we found several corridors and staircases later. The corridors and staircases needed redecorating and a couple of the corridors smelt fusty. The receptionist was pleasant ( she wasn't the red haired one mentioned previously ) The... More
