This place was on at £60 per night,charged£65 per night, don't think it tells you about the nightclub next door.the place its self looks as if it could do with a face lift, dark, no lift, not a problem if knees are ok, bed room very basic, could do with new mattress, no chairs to sit on, no remote for... I always eat at the Porthcawl Hotel and in the past cannot recommend it enough but the last few times have been terrible and I am gutted to say that. The food is overcooked, hard and freezing and you are constantly out of little things and the way the dessert came on my last visit was terrible, no apology at... More

Would not recommend this hotel to anybody. At last minute we booked this hotel without reading the reviews. The bad things were The shower was not very powerful, you would of been better off standing out in the rain . There was a draft coming through the window and the heating wouldn't work. There was holes in the walls where... More

Lovely hotel and staff, day was going brilliantly, we decided to have an early-ish night, i.e 10pm ish as I am 8 months pregnant and was shattered. All was good until 11pm when the nightclub in the hotel was situated directly beneath us, we thought the music would finish at 1am so couldn't be bothered to complain however it didn't... More

Stayed here leading up to the elvis festival then returned due to wanting to see elvis. We (me husband and friends) stayed here the week before elvis festival and i have to say it was a pleasure staying here. The rooms could do with a sprucing up and a few new features but all else nothing failed. The staff were... More

Friendly helpful staff. Spacious clean room. Fab breakfast with a wide selection of cereals and unlimited hot drink also fresh juice.Acess to the room available until late (for those who like to go clubbing etc).ideal for couples looking for a little break or groups or friends visiting the area. Great value for money would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

First the good points. It's handy for the town and the food was simply fantastic, really nicely cooked and brilliantly presented (just wish I'd taken a photo of my cheesecake) The room was careworn and I simply couldn't get the shower between freezing and boiling. The bar/nightclub on the ground floor is the issue. It's an old building and to... More

Stayed here for one night. While visiting the pavilion theatre. It was good location for the pavilion and also the promenade and the shops. Our room was really nice, very spacious and clean. It was up quite a lot of stairs. Breakfast was good and also the meal we had in the evening. Staff were friendly. There is no parking... More
