My Mum and I visited Porthcawl in early December. We had booked a twin room, Purple Emperor, and yes it was separate beds but in a very small room were pushed together. This wasn't a problem for us but just to be aware if you are not that close! The room was small with the toilet built into one corner,... More

We had an excellent stay here in July. We took our dog and so we were given the largest room. Had everything we wanted include breakfast for us and the dog! Big windows and small balcony. Fantastic comfortable bed. Room had dressing table, chairs and sofa! Would definitely stay there again.

Well worth a visit this guest house is located within a short walking distance to the sea front and town. A warm welcome and pretty room, complete with en suite, plenty of tea and coffee provided with kettle and very comfy beds! Breakfast was beautifully cooked and accompanied by cereal and toast all very tasty!

The most enjoyable experience humanly possible. The rooms are like a journey back through time to an era when quality counted for everything and exemplary service was the primary motivation. This hotel justifies the saying... I WAS THERE AND THANK GOD I WAS... What a place to get your head down for the night. Ans what a breakfast to get... More

This was our 2nd stay at the Butterfly and we honestly can't fault it. Lovely clean room. Lovely breakfast and the owners are really friendly and make you feel welcome. My husband and myself hope to return next February.

I've stayed in the butterfly guest house more times than I can possibly count and quite honestly I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. The rooms put most peoples houses to shame, they are immaculately tidy and incredibly well furnished. The couple that run the guest house are fantastic as well and always look after you, even if your like me... More

I have stayed here on several occasions and have found this to be the perfect place to stay. The rooms are unique, spotlessly clean, enchanting and welcoming. The service and food is of the highest standard and the owners, Theresa and Clive go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Highly recommended!!

I stay here around 4 times a year. Rooms are stunning and very clean and the hosts are the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met while on my travels. Also The breakfast is out of this world. I recommend this hotel 100%. It's in a great location with private parking.

A very warm and friendly B&B, owners were excellent and made us feel at ease and homely. B&B itself has great attention to detail in terms of decoration, every need was catered for and the breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again!
