Just a one night business stop over but a very pleasant one. Nothing wrong with this hotel and the food is very good with a nicely varied menu. The Reverend James was also a delight - a well kept real ale. Breakfast cooked to order with quick service wich is nice when you need to get away to a business... More

When i arrived my heart sank as the building was being refurbished and the front was covered in scaffolding. There was no mention of this when i booked on the hotels web site. My room was fine except for the smell of fresh paint, had to open the window and let a gale blow in. The previous occupants bath towel... More

Food still delicious and their steak night is really popular.Greedy guts here loves the ravioli stuffed with spinach and pine nuts. The staff dressed up for Halloween and really got into the swing... I spent two nights in early October 2015. I arrived late and was greeted with the most delicious ham sandwich I have ever eaten and a cold beer. The room was simple but very neat. I left my wash bag when I left and they were very kind to post it back to me in London for no charge. Friendly... More

there was so much to choose from on the menu that I couldn't make my mind up. I had the burger (delicious), partner had the Chicken supreme (equally delicious). Bustling pub with a nice atmosphere, service was very good too. No complaints.
