Absolutely top service, wasn't sure what to expect as it was a last minute booking and was very reasonably priced. arrived and got excellent customer service from Les (the owner). Very friendly and accommodating. Literally yards from the beach and the HiTide Inn. Excellent location. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again if visiting the area again with... For the price couldn't be better! Bang on the beach, 10 min walk to the restaurants and pubs, clean and comfortable rooms and very safe free parking out back. Very friendly and welcoming owner (Les) with extremely useful local knowledge with a smile. We shall definitely be coming back to the bayside for another surf weekend soon! Don't be put... More

Guesthouse was clean and close to the beach. Nice place behind the guesthouse called the HiTide to have a drink or a meal or watch a show... The night we stayed there were fireworks over the bay. We watched from the Hitide veranda. We found this place ok for the price.. Breakfast was not included, although there was quality tea/coffee... More

Small B & B a few yards from Porthcawl beach, no breakfast included not that i would of eaten it, place was dirty, dirty hairy sheets, shower did not work, just icy cold water, the only contact was a mobile number stuck on a door, there was a hole punched in one of the doors of a room, very noisy... Hi, thanks for your review.... Firstly I would just like to point out that as our website states we do not do breakfast at the moment although there are quality tea coffee and biscuits in the rooms. There is also a cafe across the road and many other places to eat within strolling distance. The mobile number on the door... More

Me and my fiancé have stopped in porthcawl quite a few times this was our first time at bayside. The guesthouse is in a perfect location, 30second walk to the beach and attractions. When first arrived was a bit worried about the room from the look of the outside of the guesthouse but don't let it fool you, very warm... More

We had a job in Porthcawl and were desperate for an overnight stay at a reasonable price. The Bayside was the only B&B available on the internet. It looked a bit seedy, but appearances can be deceptive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He managed to get me an internet connection, even though his was out of order. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and when we first arrived we got a bit of a scare when we seen the outside of the guest house as the surrounding houses etc look a bit run down but i wouldnt let this put you off. Our room was spotless, there was not a mark anywhere. The room wasnt too small,... More

We stayed here for two nights in early November. As it was out of season there was no real difficulty with parking but in the summer you would have to pay. The area is very convenient for the beach, but the outlook is of a high wall and a car park. The initial impression of the guesthouse is offputting. A... More
