My husband first took me to the Pierhouse 17 years ago and we've returned every other year since. It has been my favourite hotel and restaurant in Scotland since that first time as the setting is idyllic. We stayed there on Friday 27th March however we were both extremely disappointed in the presentation of the food. We both had oysters... More

My husband and I spent a very relaxing weekend at the Pierhouse (27th-28th Feb). The setting is idyllic as you will see from some of the photographs already posted. On arrival we received a warm welcome and we were immediately shown to our room. The room was clean, freshly decorated and spacious. I note that the owners had recently invested... More

Stayed on a wet and windy Friday night in February 2015. Room (Room 2) was average size, warm and clean. The bed was very comfortable and there was a warm duvet and cotton bedlinen. Staff were welcoming and efficient. For us the food was acceptable but not remarkable, portions were plentiful and there was a good choice at breakfast. The... More

Perfect place in a perfect location even in winter. We had room 2 with the dual aspect across the loch and own exterior door, so we could easily walk the few steps down to the loch to see the sun go down, beautiful views over to Lismore. Dinner was a seafood feast served by friendly staff followed by a few... More

Visited the pierhouse last year and what a nice surprise. The views and scenery were amazing and we just didnt want to leave. The food was some of the best seafood ive had and the service in the restaurant/bar was great. Ask for Claire- was really helpful and informative. Cannot wait to go back

Total relaxation, amazing views, fabulous food, warm and welcoming staff. As close to perfect as Weve ever found. Would and will recommend to everyone and hopefully will be back. Room 2 is the one to book with dual aspect views and its own exterior door. First class

Picturesque location ...check Cosy modern room.......check Roaring fires........check Friendly and helpful staff........double check Delicious food......triple check What more can I say - it was perfect. When my wife and I consider an all too rare break, our criteria tends to be quite obdurate. That's why the Pierhouse qualified with flying colours and from the moment we arrived to snow draped mountains, an azure blue sky mirrored perfectly by the tranquil Loch Linnhe, the scene was set. Warm welcome was followed by unobtrusive questioning in order... More

What a place to stay , the views are amazing across the loch to the mountains . Lovely and clean, comfortable room, great seafood restaurant with almost 180 degree views over the loch. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night here on a road trip around the highlands and will return again soon. Many thanks
