great place. confort relax and elegance are the best. really suggest. the beach is real sandy at 20 meters from the hotel but the pool is more than enough. the atmosphere in the night become romantic and you seem to travel in different epoch.

Insufficient superlatives to praise the whole trip, particularly the hotel . Food and drink can be expensive but never had a bad meal or bottle of wine. If you are thinking of staying at Castello San Marco, trust me, you will not regret it.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a tour of Sicily. A delightful luxurious hotel where nothing is too much trouble. As others have said the grounds are very pleasant and our suite (136) was well equipped and clean. We stayed at the end of the season (October) and the hotel was not at all full, but the... More

This delightful Hotel set in simple yet enchanting grounds was ideal for a half term break for parents and two grown up teenage children. The proximity of the quaint beach with its fishermen, contrasted with the sophisticated splendour of Taormina, only four miles away. Etna loomed menacingly but beautifully resplendent, snow capped in glorious sunshine and always visible. The rooms... More

After a hectic summer the hotel gave us the chance to relax and be spoilt with a charming suite, delicious food, wine and quietly attentive staff. Everything was kept to a high standard. They even got in more whiskey for my husband! Perfect!

We spent 3 nights at the Castello di San Marco. The grounds were the most beautiful part of this hotel, with its palm trees, citrus trees and hibiscus plants, to name a few. The reception was very friendly and were always accomodating. We really appreciated the playground for the children, which was right on the grounds, and the proximity of... More

We have just returned from 5 nights at this wonderful castle/hotel. Our arrival was greeted with charm & grace and the service from all the staff was to continue in this way. Our suite, in the delightful grounds, was very good and kept in lovely condition, the only negative was the lack of tea/coffee making facility - but I am... More

Four days at Castello San Marco with trips to historical Taormina and the excellent Gambino winery provided a perfect break. The 25m pool at the hotel is especially good if you want to do more than just flap about, and the gardens are stunning.

We recently spent 5 days at this hotel. It was everything we expected and more. The castle and grounds were idyllic. Our Junior Suite was large, spacious and well furnished. The TWO bathrooms were small (showers only) and a bit basic but perfectly adequate. The reception area and the bedroom were both tastefully furnished but even with all the shutters... More

Lovely place & lovely surroundings. Great breakfast, we also had lunch & dinner there too & the quality of the food & service was excellent. We travelled with my 2 year old son, the room was very big and extremely comfortable with ample space for his cot. He loved the big open areas outside the room. The pool is huge.... More
