The staff at the front desk was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. The problems were with Alberta Health Services shutting down the pool/water-slide and the breakfast. We booked this hotel, which is not on the main street of Sylvan, because of the pool and slide. It is understandable that complications can arise and for safety the pool needs... More

I booked what I thought was a "Family Suite that sleeps 6 Adults". The suite was more like a room with a little room attached that would sleep two parents and a couple younger kids. My 31 year old daughter couldn't be expected to share an over sized set of bunk beds with her twenty six year old brother. Busy... More

Terrible service. Upon informing the staff that there were carpenter ants in our room try simply laughed and did nothing. For a hotel that you are paying $140/night you expect a level of professionalism and cleanliness. This hotel is comparable to a $40 motel except the motel has better service.

This was a decent hotel, it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. The staff was nice and the location was good for my trip. everything i needed was nearby. if you are looking at being close to the lake this isn't for you. Get something on lakeshore blvd. But if you are looking for easy access to both... More

Run for the hills…..we booked a suite at the hotel and had a family stay. The first night we came in late and went directly to sleep. Very early in the morning housekeeping staff starts to yap as loud as can be and woke me at 0630. The continued for most of the morning. When we left on the day... More

Most egregiously, for me anyway, was the simple lack of training (or perhaps willful ignorance) of proper food handling procedures at the breakfast. From simple things like the knives are in the container upside-down (rule: hands should never touch the business end of flatware) to the more dangerous like the attendant using bare hands to grab the bread, bagels, muffins... Stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 2 years and definitely won't again. Stayed with a hockey team (9-10 year olds) so we were a bit loud at times but rude, confrontational staff do not help. I would recommend them not booking groups if they can't handle it. Had a nice little $100 charge on my credit card... More

We stayed for five nights at this hotel while working in the area. I was disappointed to come back to the hotel and find the room uncleaned. A bed turned over but no clean towels, garbage overflowing, left dirty coffee cups, etc. When I spoke to the front desk about the issue she assured it would be dealt with. A... More

Stayed here for a team event. Typical Comfort Inn - clean, and affordable. The double bunk beds (which can sleep 4) in the family suite were a big hit with the kids. The pool has a waterslide. The team parents were visiting in the hall-way until about 9pm and that was fine with the staff which is nice. Not all... More

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The hot tub jets were not working the night we were there but the maintenance man came and checked them and apologised profusely. When I asked about towels he went and got them from the front desk...
