Looking back on it I can now laugh but at the time it was terrible. When we arrived the hotel looked ok and was clean enough in the communal areas. In my room it was frankly disgusting! I like to have a firm mattress but the bed was hard as a board and there were insects crawling over the floor.... More

Stayed two nights (standard room, ground floor) in Mirage Calabar. The hotel location is ok. There is a good chinese restaurant and nightclub next to the hotel. However, the sheets are dirty, the surrounding of the building is very dirty. The bathrooms are an eye sore(very archaic) with pipes running on the floor. The towels are not clean. The rooms with rug have a... More

You might not know the beauty of the Name Mirage on-till you Visit "The Mirage CaLabar". It's located at the heart of town and almost a maximum of 5 minutes to any Location in Calabar. On entering, I was welcome with this unexpected Visit of an African Royalty with beautiful artworks and artifacts that makes you feel close to Nature.... More

The Mirage is an OK hotel but with little in the way of creature comforts. There are two restaurants – one being the ubiquitous Chinese Restaurant as is found in most Nigerian hotels. Calabar is a relatively safe town in Nigeria so getting around isn’t a real problem here. I have stayed at the Mirage on two occasions. As said... More
