I stayed in the family suite as the double bed garden room was occupied by a dog and his man! The suite is charmingly furnished, very clean with views over the garden. With a separate twin bed room and a large double room, this is ideal for a family. Immerse yourself in the library, an array of books is on... More

My husband and I plus our 2 dogs !!! stayed at La Rivierette for 1 night at the start of our holiday before travelling to The Champagne region . I can not say just how beautiful this little piece of France is. We had a lovely warm greeting when we arrived and was invited to join the host for pre... More

We had a lovely experience at this beautifully located home, Janice and Stuart were more than helpful, the food which was home cooked was delicious. The room was lovely and nicely placed for Lily our Labrador as she had easy access to the garden and the beautiful pond, which she had a couple of dips in. We would certainly stay... More

Absolutely great place to stay, could not fault the setting , could not fault the food , could not fault the hosts. Recently stopped here while touring the ww1 memorials on our motorbikes and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was all home prepared and was a joy to eat , especially enjoyed the beef bourguignon. The setting is absolutely... More

We've stayed here on many occasions and always found Stuart and Janice very welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the facilities are excellent, the new introduction of free WIFI is a great addition. The food is second to none, I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not and this is never an issue, we cannot rate Janice's cooking... More

We spent one night with Stuart & Janice while on a quick Channel hop. They were very welcoming and their comfortable house is set in a delightfully tranquil and little-visited part of northern France that is still very convenient for the Tunnel. As English people who have embraced the French way-of-life, they are especially well qualified to give excellent advice... More

We had a wonderful three days with Stuart and Janice just after Christmas. We stayed in the family rooms, and the children were very comfortable in their twin room. There was plenty of room to spread out, so although you are within a home, you have all the privacy you need. The rooms and facilities were spotlessly clean and well... More

We visited Stuart and Janice on Boxing Day in 2013. The location is beautiful, very serene and tranquil. The couple are very friendly and professional and trully understand dogs and children. The restored house was generally tastefully furnished and reasonably spacious although the dodgy electrics (cables stuck on the floor with sticky tape in the lounge, 'hissing' bathroom switch) and... We were disappointed to read this review particularly as no complaint was made at the time. The guest did mention that there was a buzz from a light switch but he stressed that he was not making a complaint and the switch was replaced the following day. They were not served left overs. It being Boxing Day, a fresh turkey... More

Spent 3 nights here on a short trip to France Janice and Stuart gave us a warm welcome and proved to be engaging and charming hosts. The evening meals cooked by Janice are first rate and we very much enjoyed the Cotes du Rhone. The grounds are superb and it was a joy to learn about the wild-life living around... More
