We stayed at this hotel one night before going up the Sepik River and three nights upon our return, before going on to the Mt. Hagen Sing-Sing. The only downside was the rooms they initially tried to put us in. They have a new wing of the hotel which they say is “just across the street.” When in fact, you... More

We have stayed at the In Wewak at the beginning and end of all three of our Sepik adventures and have always found comfort, good food and excellent service. The manager is always understanding and helpful and keeps things running smoothly.

This has to be one of, if not the best place to stay when in Wewak. Its a nice cool very clean hotel. When I was there the staff were great and helpful the food was good and it's just a nice distance from the main grime of Wewak. My room was k660 per night (April 2015)

Rooms are clean, spacious, air conditioned, you even get a mini-espresso maker! Bonus. Food is pricey but portions are large enough to feed three people. Great view of Kairuru island at the back balcony, only downside is waking up at the crack of dawn 4am to catch an 8am flight. Market is a 5 minute walk down Wewak hill for... More

I was totally amazed by this hotel. When i was staying in Wewak I expected something completely different. Very Nice Hotel, Beautiful Food and very friendly staff. They have an amazing view from the back of the Hotel over looking the sea. They also have an great pool if you want to cool down. Very close to Wewak town for... More

Whilst in Wewak, PNG I visited several of the local hotels to compare. In Wewak Boutique was the nicest looking, with a lovely pool. The staff at the Check in were very friendly ladies and the two restaurants that I saw were delightful. Security was very good. I did not see inside any of the rooms. They have hotel transfers... Stayed for 1 night, front of room looked over the ocean through palm trees, so relaxing. Rooms where nice, except for noisy air conditioner. Restaurant food was excellent and well priced, service was good and polite, except all meals came out seperatly. Most people at table had finished when the last meal came out.

We are travelling with a wheelchair and asked them if the hotel is wheelchairfriendly! They said yes, but it is not at all! So first we were really really disappointed! But they build a new house close to the old building that they offered us! This is also really beutiful and more wheelchairfriendly! Great food and prices in the restaurant!... More

I stayed at the hotel in Wewak nestled on the Hill in the new wing facing the East side. The rooms were very comfy and homely. I often have a repulsion for new renovations, extensions, etc., because of the smell of the new coat of paint, my stay there is memorable! As usual the food is excellent but could do... More

I travel throughout PNG each week and stay in different hotels throughout the country. The staff here are by far the rudest and most arrogant that I come across. I imagine it comes down to a lack of training and understanding of what hospitality is. Fortunately, a few new hotels have popped up in town, so there are alternative options... More
