I called several Xs about a reservation for Aug 2014 & was guaranteed a room. Good thing I checked the day before I was to arrive. They didn't have me in the reservation book (a spiral notebook with scribbled lines for the dates). The next day we checked in (registration is with the bar next door to the hotel). The... More

Pretty scenery and a safe, friendly atmosphere. Close to a few restaurants (walking distance to a couple), and a short drive into Pine where there are a few antique shops to poke around in. About a 15 minute drive from Tonto Natural Bridge, where my husband, daughter, and I were headed for this trip. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.... More

Cute place. The rooms all have themes, and are simple. A little musky with a smoke smell. Decorated like a grandmothers house. :) It is right next to two bar/restaurants that were pretty popular at night. We went to both, and each allowed kids. Average food.. The downtown area is just up the street which has typical small town shops... More

Each room has a theme. Ours was the "Harley Davidson" room, with all the obvious decorations (Harley logos on the bedspread, sheets, and pillowcases; black, orange, and gray color accents everywhere; picture frames made out of chains) plus some unexpectedly witty ones (an antique can of WD-40; plaster figurines of hogs of the four-legged variety; a copy of a Chilton... First let me say I do not agree with "No worth your money" - since when are power failures a manager's fault? The room was a perfect get-away from the hectic life of Phoenix. The manager went out of her way to meet our needs - hot coffee and good conversation in the AM on the porch - we will... More

Couldn't find the manager anywhere!!! (Keep in mind this is not during a snow, rain, storm...no bad weather at... More

This motel may seem a little worn for some travellers, but the rooms are always clean, comfortable, quiet and airy and the price is reasonable. It is a great respite from the summer heat of Phoenix or in winter when trying to glimse a little snow. We stay here for 3 or 4 days at least twice a year. You... More

The Windmill Corner Inn was a perfect getaway for me and my 2-year-old son. The owner selected the room that best met our needs and was incredibly accommodating. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We were close to plenty of hiking trails, places to eat, and shopping, and the owner was more than willing to offer suggestions on fun... More

We keep coming back to the Windmill Corner Inn for at least 3 reasons: 1) The owner, Cheryl, is very accomodating and friendly; 2) The motel is very nice, the rooms are pleasantly decorated and have a fridge, coffemaker, and microwave; 3) The very small town of Strawberry is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. This motel is much better than any... More
