Stayed here last week on a 3 day kgb deal. We had an excellent room~warm~beautiful bathroom~spotlessly clean~huge television~and more than ample refreshments(these were replenished daily)~and a massive, comfortable bed made up with fresh, crisp bedding(extra pillows in the wardrobe). We ate in the pub two nights and were more than satisfied with the range of menu on offer~some of it quite exotic(kangaroo... A great place for my birthday weekend, with lots of walking nearby, good food and excellent beer as well. Our room was large, clean and they provided nice toiletries, robes, etc. The jacuzzi was particularly welcome after the walks. The very tasty meat was locally sourced as was the cheese (yummy blue cheese starter).

Our Fly Fishing Club have stayed here many times over the last 20 years when fishing Leighton reservoir, both on the caravan/camping site and the cottage accommodation. John and his family have run the place for many years and what they do'nt know about making guests welcome is'nt worth knowing. The atmosphere in the pub is warm and friendly and... More

Just returned from a 3 day break at the Black Swan, it was excellent. The Accommodation is modern, spacious and the furnishings are of good quality, all scrupulously clean and well serviced with toiletries and oodles of tea coffee etc. The food is sourced locally where practical, so meat, eggs etc. all from within a couple of miles away, this... Just returned from a 3 night Groupon deal. The Black Swan is a lovely old traditional inn offereing excellent accommodation in 12 purpose built rooms. They are extremely spacious and very well appointed with all that is needed to make your stay very comfortable. All double rooms have king sized beds an absolute must for my husband and I. We... Decided to book kgb 3 night break on 23rd to 26th April 2013. Had a most enjoyable time at the Black Swan. Sean and his team welcomed us on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was warm, comfortable, clean and spacious. Room was cleaned daily and bath/shower requirements, tea/coffee/biscuits replaced. Heated towel rail, under floor heating. So... More

Spent 2 nights here in a Standard room. Had a warm welcome on our arrival and excellent service from the staff during our stay. The rooms are in a modern annex. The bedroom and bathroom were of a good size and were generally very clean. The only criticism was that the back if the bathroom door and the skirting boards... More

We made a much-delayed visit here on a Groupon deal, and I'm not sure whether that affected the quality of room offered, or service response. Whilst the bar staff and the food were very pleasant, the room was cold, especially the bathroom, where the heated towel radiator didn't work, a problem that we asked the staff to resolve, but there... Opted for a luxury room which was nicely appointed - lovely twin aspect windows looking out over the valley and surrounding hills. The room was spacious and reasonably equipped but a little soul-less as bolt-on accommodation annexes tend to be. A couple of minor gripes - bulbs out on halogen spots, world's worst EPG on freeview TV, an automatic kettle... More
