Booked as close to the ferry. Questionable sheets and slightly dodgy odour to room. Felt like a poor b&b. I got an earlier ferry rather than a divorce - it was that bad! Man at the desk was nice but I am not staying in a '70s room for €130. Nothing locally - needed to drive for dinner. Eurocamp sorted... More

Pros: good hotel for the price. Good clean rooms and very close to the beach. Pretty helpful and friendly staff. Cons: Small rooms/beds/showers. (but price is cheap, so its a compromise i guess) Fairly old building so can get a big noisy depending on who you neighbors are.

Stayed one night before taking the morning ferry. Booked a twin room with shower but was put into a connecting double/twin arrangement as the twin had only a washbasin. We were the only guests in the hotel so can't comment on any noise etc as it was only us. The rooms, very basic were only just warm enough but the... More

My wife and I arrived in France on the ferry from Portsmouth at 21.30h. I had informed the hotel that we would be arriving after 20.00h as requested. The hotel was in complete darkness when we arrived, the street light on the opposite side of the road gave very little light. I went to the door to find a bell... More

Reception was friendly and helpful but the room on second floor very tired and to be honest had a 'sleazy hotel' feel to it. Bed seemed clean enough which is main thing for a one night stopover but the road was noisy and I felt that I may as well have been sleeping with next door guests (soundproofing 0). Handy... More

After reading some of the other reviews on here I was quite worried about staying here. It was the first night of our holiday and we arrived quite late at night. We rang the bell at the front door and were told our room number and directed to the side entrance. The room was clean and a decent size and... More

The Hotel Le Canada is a great place to stay when visiting the battlefields. The hotel has one of the lowest prices in the region. There are rooms in the hotel and in a separate building, (a series of rooms attached together). The Internet worked good and the room was clean. It was a good value for the money. It... More

Excellent little hotel, great service, good breakfast. Quiet location. Nice room and very clean. It is a little far from town, but if you have a car then no problem. Proprietor was very nice and helpful.

Having booked in we went out for a meal. On our return my husband went to the toilet and noticed that the wall behind the toilet has faeces smeared on it. I phoned the proprietor and he said he would deal with it in the morning. In the morning when we went down to breakfast he made no reference to... More

Pretty much like every other review of this hotel. Great for a one nighter, basic and clean. Location very good for the Battlefields. The host was very pleasant and helpful. My visit was 'off season', so i decided to walk to the town...i did not see one person, and the town centre was deserted. So, off season either take some... More
