Beautiful B&B - most comfortable with very accommodating hosts. Marie (for [us] Americans, her name is pronounced mare-ee-aye) and her husband (Pascal) have done a wonderful job of renovating their home - with the B&B bedrooms on the 3rd level (2nd floor). The beds are very comfortable! My sister, husband and I shared the 2 bedroom suite - great that... More

Please take my word for it: once you have stayed at Le Vivier you will never want to leave! We were given such a wonderfully warm welcome by Marie, and made to feel totally at home from the minute we walked through the front door of this stylish and perfecly restored maison de maitre. The breakfasts were so delicious, the... More

Marie met us at the gate (Pascal was away) and made us feel like we were part of the family. A beautifully restored house (hardcover book showing the transformation) that has not lost it's classic style, yet with all of the modern facilities you come to expect. The breakfast was beautifully presented and equally delicious . . with warm bread/rolls... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights in this beautifully restored manor house while visiting the WWII historical sites in Normandy in September. We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor with large very comfortable bed and spotless en suite. Marie and Pascal are warm and welcoming as are their 3 beautiful dogs! Breakfast at their dining room table... More

We spent 12 days touring through Northern Spain and into France. Our final two nights were at Le Vivier, and what a finalle for our trip! Lion-sur-Mer is an ideal base for visiting the Normandy beaches, but is equally a lovely beach holiday destination in its own right. The house and rooms are just as beautiful as they look on... This is not your usual bed and breakfast. This is 5 star quality accommodation in a beautifully restored manor house. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and they invite you to make yourself comfortable in their immaculate and very stylish home. Our bedroom on the top floor was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The breakfast was fresh and... More

I only stayed for one night at Le Vivier. I wish it had been more but they were booked up. I arrived late off the Portsmouth-Caen ferry but Marie was waiting at the door for me. The house is beautiful as was my bedroom (with a large, modern en-suite bathroom). My French is poor but Marie speaks good English so... More

Marie & Pascal are outstanding hosts! We booked cate Fleurie for our family (two teenagers) at Marie's recommendation. Perfect! The property is historic, quaint and you feel truly at home. All the little things they do help make it special. We launched our Normandy coast exploration from here working south. we were provided maps, recommendations (including where to eat) and... More

My family of 4 spent 5 great nights with Marie and Pascal in their fantastic house very close to the grand beaches (Sword). Le Vivier is just more than a hotel, as you stay in a private perfectly renovated manor house which is also the home of Marie and Pascal and their 3 dogs. We had 2 great en-suite rooms... More

My daughter and I stayed at Le Vivier for four days in 2013. We had a two bedroom suite that was well-furnished. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom everything you'd want. We used Le Vivier as home base to visit the Normandy Beaches, Bayeux, Mont St. Michel, etc. The breakfasts were homemade and terrific. The proprietor, Marie Collet, made... More
