I've often fancied staying at this hotel when we have driven past because of its superb location. We had an overnight stay after arriving at Caen by ferry in the evening, before our drive down to central France. The hotel is a charming typical Normandy small hotel almost on the beach. Our room on the third floor ( no lift)... More

We had a first floor room overlooking the sea, literally yards away. With the windows open on a warm, balmy night the sound of the sea was magical. Maybe not so great in the depths of winter though! We didn't take advantage of the restaurant (a quirk of ours, we like to seek out our own choice of eatery) but... More

To all those travellers seeking accomodation in a delghtful area of Normandy, This hotel has great views, however the accomodation is below average, it is in need of restoration, the hygene was poor, I will not go into detail about the shower and toilet ?. Luc Sur Mer is a delightful small seaside village although not a lot to do... More

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Ouistreham (Caen) Ferry port but booked a couple of nights to enable us to explore the area with its history of the invasion beaches etc. What a brilliant choice! From our initial welcome to the time we said our goodbyes the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Our... More

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were sparse but comfortable with a spectacular view of the beach. Dinner was standard french food and done extremely well. The homemade croissants for breakfast may well be the best I've had in my life. Great value and well worth the stop.

We had a very pleasant stay at this friendly and hartly hotel. The owner Philippe and his wife Marie, and of course the staff made that we are very pleased with this hotel. Our room had a glorious view on the Atlantic, and the bay off the Seine River. The rooms are big enough and of a good quality. The... More
