Noted some mixed reviews. But the price was right for a night! Granted we paid a little more for a larger room 101. We were greeted with a lovely reception & recommended an excellent restaurant La Petite Auberge - food second to none! We spent a lovely evening, returning to a very comfy bed! A good powerful shower in the... More

Where to start with this hotel!! When we checked in we were told we were out in the garden rooms and to follow the man from reception - which we did. Our room was up a concrete staircase and at the end of a dark corridor. On entry to the room we found we had no view only of the... More

Were looking for a hotel in the area and came across Les Sables d'Or. The room was a very good price and was clean. Was pleasantly surprised to have a couple English tv stations to choose from as well, not that tv is all that important but it was nice. The staff at check-in was friendly too and gave us... More

Where do I start to describe this place......We had a family of 6 with 3 rooms 2 x double and one twin. Rooms where small but easily manageable. Kids loved the place but other couple were a little more fickle. Our room was what a 2 star would resemble...it was clean and was cleaned everyday of the 5 days we... More

Never go back to this place again, people who work there are really incorrect, this is not even an hotel more like a haunted little house!! If you have choice ... Then chose an other one ! They said it's close from the sea ... Noway, they said the renovation was done ... Well if you considere cracked painting is... More

Electricity died in the middle of the night. Sockets fell out the wall. Duvet stank of urine. Room was baking hot at one end and freezing at the other. Not enough plug sockets and no WiFi. Parking is on the street and there is not enough. Ah well, at least the roof didn't leak and there was no mould.

I still haven't quite got over the smell that filled the room. I was at this hotel with a group of school children - we were lucky that we'd looked at reviews and brought our own bed sheets and cleaning products. The bedding was dirty, the rooms were a disgrace - we had to go and clean most of the... More

Rooms-smelly, not clean. We took some spare sheets, rubber gloves, cleaning products. Detail, bleach, air freshener a must here. Showers-May flood bathroom Curtains may fall down. Shower curtain also might fall down. Damage deposit may be retained if your kids are deemed to be too "loud and disrespectful". Packed lunches. You are safe if you ask for cheese, otherwise who... No wardrobe, beds were extremely saggy, bathroom was very narrow, shower was extremely shallow and small and kept flooding, the bed cover was a blanket which when you have irritable skin was extremely annoying and the walls were extremely thin so could hear everything going on in the rooms around, also our room was nothing at all like the pictures... My granddaughter has just returned from a school trip to les sables d'or. She was looking forward to this trip for months, and she said the hotel was awful. There was mildew between the bathroom tiles, the shower came out drip at a time, there was the towel rail hanging of the wall, the non-slip cover on the bath had... More
