A very quirky hotel, in need of some TLC. The rooms are small, but with fantastic views over the sea, and looking onto Stromboli. The beds are built onto the floor, but the pillows are terrible. Hard lumps of rubber. Very old. The towels have been there since the hotel opened! So thin and worn. You also need to be... More

Dreadful, dirty and low quality. Worth a maximum 30 euros a night not 300!!! Clearly there is a massive tourist glut in Panarea who don't care about anything if this place can stay in business. On a positive note, the views from Panarea are good.

Had an amazing time at this hotel- even though it is a bit pricey for what it offer. Rooms are very simple and basic. However, the hotel property and amenities are gorgeous. Has a beautiful pool area, excellent bar and restaurant and some stunning views. The owner is also a very interesting lady with some fun stories to share.

The Raya is not a hotel - it's a state of mind! I seriously can't describe it...you can take a swin in the fab pool (well, 4 pools) at any hour of the day, there are no TVs (but wifi!), everything is organic (even the wall paint) and it feels like Ingrid Bergman might actually show up any minute. Lady... More

A legend with an incomparable hippy atmosphere to it. The views and the elegance are breath-taking (literally!!). Chic crowd. It is quite expensive given the hotel is slightly run down. But a one in a kind experience....

A simple hotel on a stunning island. The views out to the Stromboli volcano was amazing. If it wasn't for the view and beauty of the island I would been disappointed with the room and price . The restaurant and bar area are great.

I stayed at the raya two days. As soon as we arrived on the island we were token in charge by a very nice staff. We had a suite which was on the terraces, the room was clean and full of charm though not worth a five star. The pool was fantastic with an obliterating view. Tough the price is... More

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding of my friends. Had the top room, extremely big with a seperate veranda infront just for my room where I could sunbathe, have breakfast and enjoy the view. Was extremely sattisfied, mesmerizing view on Stromboli. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation, always thought it was considered to be the best hotel on the... More

everything else is mediocre (except the price!). Rooms and bathrooms have not been touched in 40 years and breakfast is the bare minimum. It's a pity since there is great potential but I would never recommend this hotel.

The Raya hotel in the picturesque Eolian island of Panarea is a big disappointment. I made my reservation well in advance in January for a 10 days stay in August. I asked for the best room in the hotel and agreed on a 750 euros a night. for that price i was expecting a very NICE hotel. the day we... More
