The run down feel added to the charm - everything worked ok, but you could tell that the gardener hadn't been around for a while. We booked the double room for 4 with an up and downstairs. We stayed upstairs in the roof area which was huge, had exposed beams and was a great spot. They had a fly problem,... More

Having used this hotel a number of times for clients, never, in 30+ years of booking hotels on a daily basis, have I had such bad experiences with a hotel owner. We had a group of 44 people booked and when they arrived, there was no food available, despite us booking an evening meal. Given it's remote location, that caused... More

Nice place, delicioustable, great wines but bedrooms are a bit too oldfashion....A duvet would be such more comfortable than a blanket !

We had no trouble finding this gem. We stayed here and did a side trip to Beaune one day, and to Chateauneuf en Auxois (just down the street) the next day. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast (fee I think was 10 euros), but well worth it. We got a great deal on a non refundable/pay in advance... More

Grand hotel/restaurant chateau with magnificent salons, pond, animals, garden. We stayed in a room on the upper floor, less expensive. The staff was excellent. This was truly a french experience.

We driving throughout France and very late one night we drove thru this little village. We needed a place to spend the night and we were glad that we noticed a sign for the hotel. I was very skeptical about the place, since it was probably 10 pm, and all I could hear was a dog barking in the distance.... More

A very beautiful chateau in a lovely part of France. Convenient for A6 travellers. Choice of room is critical. While our fiends had a very boring and relatively expensive modern double room, we took a duplex room for three on the second floor of the main building, the first level had a twin bedded room with bathroom and toilet; the... One of the highlights of our first visit of France. Gorgeous setting, delicious food, nice accomodations. Truly a vision of historic France. Shirley Wikander

Bit disappointed with this one - but probably mainly because i fell for the old "best room in the place pictured on the website" trick - i was expecting something along the lines of this: (---) - you'll see the difference between that and the room we actually got from my pics! However, the chateau itself was very beautiful (again... More

We returned here this summer and brought our children - teenagers - with us so to enjoy a place we'd fallen in love with before. It was all we remembered and then some. The hotel has been beautifully maintained and the surrounding parkland now features a herd of fallow deer, which you can watch grazing while enjoying the delicious meals... More
