One of the biggest wastes of money I have ever spent on a hotel stay. Hotel is just a gloried Travel Lodge type, definitely not a country house hotel, and a very poor Travel Lodge at that. Paid for a superior room and what was superior about it was hard to see to be honest. And as for the restaurant,... more

Let´s start with the goodies, its easily accessible from M5 and there is more than enough of parking space. Wifi works well. The service is not more than just ok, slow service at the reception and staff more inclined for having a good talk among them selves than servicing guests. Staff though friendly. Rooms lack a lot stayed at so... more

We stayed here as a friend was getting married up the road and it seemed like a fairly cheap option for the night. It was definitely nothing special but it was clean (apart from a large stain on the valance on the bed), the room was freezing cold and the bottom sheet was too small for the bed. Having said... more

Easily accessible from Bristol and the M5 but you feel as though you are in the country> Lovely decor to a very good standard and no 'tatty edges' you often find. The staff were all extrememly helpful and friendly and, despite the restaurant being full of diners the waiting staff were attentive and quick and the food was great! Loved... more

Stayed at this hotel on 9th September on business therefore it was booked through my company. I have to say I found my bedroom (room 214) comfortable, clean, in a good state of decoration and quiet. I have to agree with previous posts that I was told on arrival, that I had been uprgaded to "superior" but could not see... more

I booked this hotel at the last minute based on price, via their own website, which seemed to offer the best rate I paid in advance and was rather pleasantly surprised to get a confimation letter and booklet on the hotel in the post The hotel looks from the outside a bit like a Holiday Inn Express (in size and... more

I should probably begin by pointing out that we stayed here for free as we last planned on staying last year, turned up and were turned away as they lost our booking... The hotel looks very modern and cosy from the outside, there is a nice bar area with some outside seating and comfy chairs inside. We had a Superior... more

The first issue was the paper thin walls/door separator separating my bedroom from the bedroom next door. The people in the room next door were very noisy and drunk and made the stay uncomfortable, as we were tired late at night we did not complain. This fact was mentioned to the receptionist the next morning. She acknowledged that there was... more
