I have reviewed the Cross Keys before as I am a regular guest but having just read a review from obviously one of lifes' terminal whingers about it I felt compelled to write another. To people who complain about noise from downstairs then read the name of the Hotel .........It's an "Inn".....there is a bar Dummy!!!! having said that it... More

I stayed here whilst working in the area and found it very pleasant. The rooms are pleasant, plenty of tea and coffee and even biscuits which is rare these days! The beds are very comfortable. I agree with previous reviews that the towels are somewhat small and the shower cubicle in my room was quite petite but the shower was... More

Stayed two nights here, nice little pub with history but our stay was very disappointing the noise from downstairs kept us awake on both nights, you could hear the pool games taking place, the noise carried on till closing time. Also the post office had deliveries at 5.45am which added to the noise. Rooms were clean apart from what looked... More

I have just spent a two nights stay at The Cross Keys while attending a training course. It was easy to find with ample parking. The room was cosy and quiet, with ensuite, TV and kettle. Free wifi was a big plus! The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a delicious veggie breakfast two day in a row.

This is a typical country pub, very cozy and the staff are friendly.Good beers and a nice atmosphere. My room was small but had all the basic amenities for a budget option. The en-suite shower room was also small but perfectly adequate Toiletries were adequate as were the towels, even if on the small size and a bit worn.Plenty of tea and coffee... An old fashioned pub. Pool table. A classic menu (lasagne, corn beef hash, beef stew, egg and chips). Friendly staff. Exactly what you want if you like homemade pub food. Prices are about £8. Good value lunch deal.

Stayed here sat & sun, room small but immaculate, bathroom good size, deep bath. Very friendly staff & locals & this is not always the case as my friend is English. Usk is quiet this time of year but the kings head is also very good, go there hungry!!. Breakfast is well worth the small extra charge. Would recommend for a... More

We stayed in room 1 at the hotel after a wedding in a large hotel nearby. The cost was half the price of the "posh" hotel and the staff were twice as friendly. We really enjoyed our stay, room very clean, plenty of tea and coffee etc., in the room. Not a speck of dirt anywhere. The room was a... More

We spent a night in this wonderful old pub steeped in history. Our bedroom dated back to the 16th centaury with majestic low black beams and painted white walls. Excellent comfortable bed with a small; but more than adequate on- suite. Our breakfast was English style and plenty of it, enough to keep one going for the day. We were... More
