We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful b&b at the end of April this year. Our hosts were wonderful and kind and went out of their way when we ran out of diesel by sending their charming son to go and get some for us! Breakfast was scrumptious and our surroundings beautiful and the barn was a lovely place... More

Idyllically peaceful. Diana, Paul and family very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is separate to the farmhouse and is huge and very comfortable. Wet room and shower great. Lots of nice touches like sparkling water in the fridge and homemade cakes. Diana's cooking is delicious. The farm is on the borders of England and Wales and among the most beautiful... More

We stayed here for a single night in February 2014. The accommodation was fantastic, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful (with a lovely view) and Diana and Paul made us feel so welcome and at home.

This is the perfect place to unwind & relax. A very comfortable barn conversion surrounded by rolling hills & beautiful countryside. The log fire was great so curling up on the long comfortable sofa was hard to leave. Our host's Diana & Paul made us feel right at home and nothing was to much trouble. An ample breakfast was served... More

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay and enjoy all the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons has to offer. The accommodation is superb with a lovely welcoming log fire and underfloor heating that makes the whole place really cosy. There's plenty of space in the accommodation which includes a separate large shower room (no bath), a mezzanine bedroom... More

Stayed here at the end of November for a walking break in the area. The guest accomodation is a stunning self contained converted barn with a large double height seating area and it sleeps our family comfortably. The hearty welsh breakfasts are served by Diana in a lovely dining room looking over the Monmouthshire countryside and the chioce is almost... More

I booked the weekend in the barn as a surprise for my husbands birthday as we were booked on a course on Kate Humbles farm close by. Diana was straight out on arrival to show us round the barn, it was lovely. She had booked us a table at a pub for our dinner and her choice was perfect as... More

We recently stayed at LLanwilcae Farm and enjoyed it enormously. The beautifully converted barn was unbelievably comfortable and Diana and Syd made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. The aga cooked Welsh breakfast was the biggest and best I've ever had. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

The problem with B&Bing, IMHO, is that you don't get enough space, who would spend their evenings in a bedroom for instance, and if the place has a living room it is shared, sometimes with the family. Here at Llanwilcae they have obviously sussed the gap between full self-catering and the deprivations of B&B. As well as a nice bed... More
