WE have just returned from our lovely trip to Italy. We stayed a couple of nights here and if we had more time - we would defintely stay here longer. THe rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is lovely but most important it is a romantic place, quiet, grat atmosphere and amazing hospitality. The owners of this hotel really... More

We recently stayed for two nights at this family run hotel. Stefano looked after us so well, and gave us great advice for the local area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Would recommend. Thanks again !

The hotel is all ariund a good Hotel, comfortable, clean, look after in all detail. But what is amazing is that you go back to 70', vico Magistretti has entirely designe the hotel, not only architecture, but also furniture, lights, materials, etc Owners have ben so intelligent to keep everything live! And you go back to 70' and you feel... More

The hotel owner and restaurant manager were very friendly. The restaurant evening meal was absolutely excellent and priced as expected for higher standards and within the same price range as regional restaurants. Breakfast buffet was reasonably sufficient and continually supplied throughout the offered (we tested this with alterations in daily plans and wake-up hours). This hotel is somewhat old and... More

I stopped at this hotel with my siter and 14 year old son. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights. The hotel itself was nice enough but there were a number of factors that spoilt the stay. The Air conditioning is not functioning the staff try to say that it is working because you hear the noise of the fan. The... More

The location of the Locanda is perfect if you have a car: 45 minutes to Lucca, 50 to Pisa, 30 to Lerici and around 1 hour to Cinque Terre. It's the first bit of country you can find north of the Viareggio-Forte del Marmi complex. It has a beautiful very clean swimming pool. There is a huge field of basil... More

I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my mother (70) and could not have asked for a hotel with more helpful or kind staff , they looked after us from the moment we arrived . It is a shame the present economy sees less visitors but this is not a reflection on the hotel . We ate... More

A strange but ultimatley satisfying stay. We needed to stay somewhere for a night on our way from Tuscany to the Appenine mountains. Was hard to find (my fault, I hadn't printed off a map) but we were pleasantly surprised when we got there. Cool architecture if you like Frank Lloyd wright. Rooms minimal in a 70's way (but good... The hotel is over 35 years old and you can notice this everywhere in the hotel. Maintenance on the hotel is very poorly. All over the bathroom you can find mould, on the ceiling, on the shower, on the tiles of the bathroom. In the room itself you will find a 15 inch TV probably the first they ever bought.... More
