This time of the year it's more quiet then usual. I booked an apartment with a small kitchen/living/dining room in one space, a separate toilet, bath with a shower and a double bed room. The kitchen has everything needed (water kettle, coffee machine, oven, dish washer and fridge). So you can be independent and cook yourself if you need. I... More

The hotel lacks a bit of character and style, but the quality was excellent, we had a room with kitchen/living room, very comfortable bed. Sauna and pool were great. Beach and walks just at the doorstep. Staff at reception was flexible to grant us an extra hour of later check-out.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a balcony overlooking the water. The spa on the site was fantastic as it was open at 7am until 10pm. There was a large pool with a lovely view. The saunas and steam was great. To get into Sylt town we left the car at the hotel... More

We just came back from a short trip to the fantastic island of Sylt. We stayed in a very nice appartment facing the water. The quality was a nice surprise. Only the beds were uncomfortable with old matraces. Our two kids (1 and 4 years) also enjoyed the kindergarden for a couple of hours. The restaurants were a great disapointment.... More

I stayed at the Dorfhotel with my wife and young son for a couple of nights as we wanted to see Sylt. The hotel is a large complex owned by TUI next to the main road between Rantum and Westerland, and opposite some sand dunes. Our apartment was split level - with a living area/kitchen and bedroom downstairs, and a... More

We spent five wonderful nights at the Dorfhotel, and couldn't have been more satisfied. The hotel is designed for families. Here are some highlights: Pros: * Friendly Staff: everyone, without exception, was kind and friendly to us and our 3 year-old daughter. They welcomed her, talked with her, and made her feel special, which is rare in Northern Germany. The... More
