Stayed here 5 nights in August and it was superb. I'd describe this is a mini-boutique sort of residence - there's only 12 rooms so it's a very relaxing place to stay. The owners obviously take pride in ensuring it's in great condition and the communal areas are all very nicely decorated and smell great, plenty of chairs to relax... More

Outlook great Service excellent meals superb quiet and relaxing, villa style accommodation not overly spacious but adequate Well kept premises and pool area Restaurant not open at night but was sought out by locals for lunch and breakfast (could not recommend food more highly) Salina is a unique and quiet holiday destination for families or couples wanting a relaxing break... Just back from a week here with family (wife and 2 teenage sons). We had a wonderful time in this outstanding hotel. Location is great, having just 12 rooms makes it a relaxed, low-key, place but feels spacious and the pool is stunning (clean water, almost-infinity and plenty of chairs to go round). Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were... More

This is one one the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in anywhere. Really. Located on a road leading into town, the public areas are essentially 3 terraces built into the side of a mountain - large open spaces with views over rooftops, growing crops, the sea and out to other islands. The lowest terrace is the swimming pool - huge... More

We just returned from spending 5 incredible days at the Hotel Principe di Salina. In short, this was the best vacation we have had in years. The Hotel Principe - and our hosts - were an essential part of this. The town of Malfa is the perfect balance of natural beauty and tranquility, all in a beautiful beach setting with... More

My family enjoyed a special few days staying in Malfa. This hotel is friendly, quiet, spotlessly run, with great attention to detail, a big swimming pool and stunning views from the breakfast terrace. We would recommend this hotel to any family or group that was looking to spend some time enjoying the food and sights of the Aeolian islands.

This property sits nestled in the hill of Malfa with a grand view of the Mediterranean sea. Our room had a private balcony with a view of the active Volcano Stomboli - a delight to watch at night. The hotel and resort is pristine. The infinity pool and surrounds are quite relaxing. Breakfast, pool, rooms and the quite resting areas... More

My wife and I miss this hotel. The views, the pool and the staff and we've only been away for five days. We had spent two great nights in Palermo following our fantastic wedding in Ireland and ever since we booked our trip to Salina and the room at hotel Principe di Salina, we knew this would be the start... As a previous reviewer has said this is an excellent base from which to explore Salina and the surrounding islands and would agree with their comments on the hotel. We stayed five nights last month. It should have been six but we were unable to reach the island from Milazzo as no ferries or hydrofoils were running because of high... More

We stayed at Hotel Principe di Salina in Malfa for two days at the end of May 2013. When we arrived by taxi we were surprised to pull up not in front of an imposing hotel but what appeared to be a small adobe hut. Entering the building all became clear with a lift taking us down to the reception... More
