It's raining and not a little so we bail to the pretty Schillingshof. Highlights, definitely the uber breakfast. Served between 8-10 most guests are there throughout. We're not talking just a croissant. There's cooked breakfast, diy muesli, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, meat, bread, pastries, jams and spreads, tea and coffee, juice. The spa is ok, two saunas, pool, European etiquette applies.... More

We were looking for a hotel near Neuschwanstein castle and found this one. All I can say is this may have been the best night we had out of 15 days in Europe. When we arrived they were having a Summer festival with Brass band, German food and of course beer. My family had a blast listening to the music... More

We stayed in this hotel as part of a group trip. My overwhelming impression was that the hotel is geared for conferences and that explains what you get. The rooms were adequate and clean, as were the common areas. The balcony on our room was pretty tiny, and you could step over the wall to a large flat roof area,... More

Stayed for two nights whilst on a business/Oktoberfest trip. The hotel is well appointed with good facilities. The location is wonderful, offering some stunning views. The staff were generally very good and very well presented in local native dress. I will be very happy to return to this hotel.

I stayed 2 nights for a work training course. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was helpful and efficient though out the hotel. Nicely situated and many activities to keep you busy. Breakfast an dinner was excellent with a huge selection to choose from. Many authentic German dishes were always on offer. The conference room facilities are excellent and perfect... More

Stayed recently for 1-night while on business in the area and overall the stay was decent enough. Understandably geared towards German tourists but more than happy and capable enough to look after us non-Germans too. Rooms adequate and many with scenic views of the Alps from a nice size balcony. Food and drink good although typically German so be prepared... More

A 131 room hotel in a not so coveted location. The rooms are ok, renovated and clean. No objections to the quality of meals either. The "Wellnessbereich", is somewhat of a joke, a pool with 10 deck chairs a sauna without a view and a relaxing area. The attitude is geared to charge everything possible, for instance a bathrobe is... More

I visited this hotel as part of a business/long weekend with my wife. As the title says it was average, I dont think it was worth 4 stars, about 3.5 I guess. We booked a room with a valley view, as opposed to a mountain view, strangely it costs more, probably because the road runs directly in front of the... More

this was my first stay at the Hotel Schillingshof, and i left feeling quite dissapointed. We arrived late due to traffic, and the restaurant was shut, not even a sandwich or a roll was available, so we had to drive to another hotel nearby to eat! We had booked and paid extra for a room with 'a view' however when... More

The room, the cuisine was definitely high-class. When I arrived around 14:30, my room was not ready. The day of the play, there was a hiccup with the shuttle service to Oberammagau. 12 of us guests missed out on a morning of enjoying Oberammagau before the play because of the unacceptable negligence of the hotel coordinating the shuttle service. To... More
