This hotel used to be a good one, now it's really a place to avoid! The service is really bad, to get something, like a new towel or somerhing, you have to ask 7 times! The food isn't that good and waitresses are very slow and indifferent! The swimming pool and the beach are not clean. Rooms are old: some... more

On arrival, reception busy but welcoming. Taken to our room and shown facilities. The first floor room was a good size for a couple with fridge,tv, wardrobe, safe and a comfortable double bed. The sheets were changed every day and the cleanliness was excellent. The bathroom was well-equipped, including a hair dryer, although the shower enclosure was small, the shower... more

Having a Citalia 50% deal made everything at the resort brilliant, definitely not worth going on the rack rate. In September the resort is winding down, very little entertainment and bad weather. Having said that the staff are very friendly and most speak English. The food is plentiful , plenty of variety and good quality, you have as much as... more

We spent ten days at the Chia Village in September and had a wonderful time. The rooms are all in two-storey brick cottages, we were in the 100 block and had an upstairs room with a beautiful balcony that overlooked the pool. The room was nice and spacious, recently decorated with a mini bar and tv which had BBC World... more

We travelled with our 2 toddlers on arrival the resort looked good. The superior cottage room was basic and had no window so at all times we had to keep the door closed to the garden as one of our toddlers would crawl off in to a very muddy garden! The mattresses were so worn out I cut my knee... more

Before travelling to this resort I had read the reviews on this site - some less than favourable. My gut instinct told me not to go, but I went ahead anyway. I don't want other people to make the same mistake as me - so I urge you not to go here. I've been to the Puntae Negra hotel in... more

We were fortunate to book a week at Chia village/Laguna resort when prices had been reduced by 50% half board. Had we paid full price we would not have been pleased. Our accommodation was upstairs in a block of garden rooms on two storeys. It was what could be described as basic+. Very clean, double-bedded, ensuite/shower, tiny balcony overlooking the... more

We got a bargain deal for our week here so were quite pleased with our room which had a patio and small garden and was very near reception. The furnishings are fairly basic but ok and we liked the slippers as the floor was a laminate rather than carpeted. They had nice white sheets which were changed daily. The food... more

I am giving here a factual and frank view of our time at the Chia Village, which is part of the Chia Laguna Resort. This is a 4 star establishment that has yet to learn to behave as one in many ways. I shall explain all as honestly as I can, based on our own observations during our recent stay,... more

Spent 2 wks in the Chia Village from 2-Sep travelling with 3yr old and 5mnth old baby. Our Room Paid for a Classic Family room but was located in a Garden room (apparently an upgrade) directly opposite (and overlooked by) the staff communal area in block 700. Interior of the room was fine, exterior too exposed when you have a... more
