Charming spotless hotel with extremely pleasant and helpful staff. This is an old Tibetan building with nice views, good breakfast and free afternoon tea and cakes. This is definitely the place to stay in Shargi-La.

We agree with all the other positive reviews. Great friendly helpful staff, Large rooms with balconies and stunning views of The Monastery which is a short walk away. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This hotel is in a perfect setting with peace and scenery. The rooms are Tibetan in style. Food and staff are top rate and they have the best coffee in China! (Yunnan coffee beans) The hotel overlooks the monastry and the only sound was the bells around the yaks necks.Fantastic sunrise too.
