Having spend that much time planning and navigating yourself to Shangri-la, most likely you're not here for luxury resorts or out standing hotel facilities. Well, if you are looking for those, maybe you should consider changing destination and head somewhere else for your vacation. Kevin's Trekker Inn provides excellent balance between affordability and comfortable accommodation. It certainly doesn't have the... More

I stayed at this well situated guest house for 2 nights, both Becky and Kevin were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the conversation just as much as we loved the cleans rooms and their beautiful garden. All of these have eased slightly the pain caused by the damage done by the fire tragedy to the old town. This Shangri... More

A great experience staying here- we opted for the new section and were really pleased with our rooms, a good size and good amenities and very clean. Make sure you opt for a family style meal with Becky and Kevin- we had 2 and highly recommend their cooking skills. Breakfast too is great value and if you are going out... More

We only stayed in Shangri-La for one night on the way from Tiger Leaping Gorge to Lhasa, but Kevin's was one of the best places we stayed on this trip. Very clean, large rooms in the new area, and very friendly owners who even drove us to the airport! Location is great, right outside from town. I hope that Shangri-La... More

I arrived in Shangrila after finishing the hike at the tiger leaping gorge. During that time is was raining non-stop so i boarded the bus to shangrila, cold, wet, tired, and needing a place to stay immediately. I didn't pre-book a room, but based on the reviews from wiki travel, i chose this place, and luckily they had rooms available.... More

I was not the person who picked out this place(I'm10 years old!!!), but I really liked this place. Kevin and his wife Becky are very friendly, and they can speak very good English. They recently built a new building, and (of course) it was more expensive than the older rooms. We did not stay in the newer rooms, but we... More

We arrived here after a bus ride from lijiang. It is easily reachable by public bus, following the directions on its website. They are located at 2min from the (burned down) old town, from noah's cafe that serves excellent food, from wondefull supermarket where you can gind anything you want. Kevin and becky are very helpful and advised us on... More

Stayed two nights in Kevin's. The courtyard is filled with flowers and beginning to bloom. Rooms are nicely decorated, as per their pics in their website www.kevintrekkerinn.com. Our room didn't have a cupboard to hang our clothes, having a coat hanger stand will do. : ) There are two chairs and a table outside the room if you wish to... More

Hosted by charming Kevin and Becky, this is a lovely hostel just right for travelers. We had a room in the new block with panoramic views of the city, temple and giant prayer wheel. Very clean with kettle and electric blanket, (which is needed as there is no heating in the room) good bathroom and lovely hot shower (bring your... More
