Feels like you surrounded by the most beautiful nature. The menu is extensive and I loved the vegetable noodle soup. Really a special place and enjoy the soun of nature. The staff have been there a long time and know the area well. I was on my way to Haba village and used the guest house as a pit stop.

If you can make the walk past Tina's and some of the other places you hit right as you descend from the gorge, you will not be disappointed at Sean's. It is about a 2km walk from Tina's when you come out of the gorge. Great views. Clean rooms. More comfortable beds than the other guesthouses we stayed in around... More

We stayed at Sean's for one night at the end of May 2014. It was a great place to stop on our trek through the gorge. We did the trek in one day, stopping at the halfway house for lunch (left from the ticket office at 7:30am and lunch took about an hour) and arrived at Sean's at 4:30pm. We... More

Stayed in seans after completing the hike. Sean and his hostess were very polite an friendly. The room was lovely with a private bathroom and the view was breathtaking! We sat outside eating and drinking for the evening with other guests...the food was amazing! We had the 'fried rice wih everything' and 'fried rice with beef' for dinner and rice... More

If you can muster the energy it's a really good idea to keep walking past Tina's along the road (Easy!) for just half an hour to Sean's. He's been in the gorge with his smart and spacious guesthouse for 34 years! He knows everything, and is a real character, but times aren't good because of all the very average modern... More

Sean's guest house has some really good things going for it: it's got a big outdoor terrace where you can sit in the sun and view the gorge; a massive Western/Chinese menu which would cater well for fussy eaters and children; and Sean speaks English so it's fairly easy to organise different things for upcoming trips or transportation. The downside... More

Good, simple accommodation (we went for the cheap room with shared bathroom). Hot showers, amazing food and Lily the hostess is really lovely. Not often do we have hotel staff helping with bags. She even called us up to check we were ok as we hadn't arrived by sunset. Try the banana pancakes!

My brother is from Malaysia and I am from California. In March 2014, on our trip to Northwest Yunnan, my brother and I spent 2 nights at Sean’s Spring Guest House in Tiger Leaping Gorge exploring the trails around the gorge. The guest house is comfortable, well furnished and in a lovely location. Lily, the hostess, was ever so friendly... More

Stayed at Sean's on night 2 of our Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek. We opted for a Deluxe double private (360rmb). It had a good view and was clean with aircon/heater and a bath, but we found the bed really uncomfortable (and we've stayed in a lot of Chinese beds) and felt it was overpriced. The food we had was average... More

We already booked at Woodys Chateau but ate three delicious meals here prepared by the very lovely Lily. The portions are huge and easy to split. Most delicious is the vegetable and cheese burritos...a tasty blend of Naxi minority bread, local goat cheese, and a western concept. Seriously Lily made the whole experience lovely. She provided an alternate route to... More
