Good, simple accommodation (we went for the cheap room with shared bathroom). Hot showers, amazing food and Lily the hostess is really lovely. Not often do we have hotel staff helping with bags. She even called us up to check we were ok as we hadn't arrived by sunset. Try the banana pancakes!

My brother is from Malaysia and I am from California. In March 2014, on our trip to Northwest Yunnan, my brother and I spent 2 nights at Sean’s Spring Guest House in Tiger Leaping Gorge exploring the trails around the gorge. The guest house is comfortable, well furnished and in a lovely location. Lily, the hostess, was ever so friendly... More

Stayed at Sean's on night 2 of our Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek. We opted for a Deluxe double private (360rmb). It had a good view and was clean with aircon/heater and a bath, but we found the bed really uncomfortable (and we've stayed in a lot of Chinese beds) and felt it was overpriced. The food we had was average... More

We already booked at Woodys Chateau but ate three delicious meals here prepared by the very lovely Lily. The portions are huge and easy to split. Most delicious is the vegetable and cheese burritos...a tasty blend of Naxi minority bread, local goat cheese, and a western concept. Seriously Lily made the whole experience lovely. She provided an alternate route to... More

We booked the deluxe ensuite rooms before we read the negative reviews on the forum and since it is only a one night stay, we decided to go for it. Sean has been very helpful when we contacted him for help to sort out our transport problem from Lijiang. He told us about the standard fare for one way drop... More

We just went for lunch. They gave us a western and Chinese oriented menu. There were lots of pizzas etc. We had a pumpkin soup, and noodle soups (one chicken and one veg) - all very good. A chicken sandwich was good chicken meat (not pressed chicken). A savory "Tibetan Pancake" was just fine. Finally - the Gin and Tonics... More

We choose to walk to the end and asked for the best room in the house, we paid a bit extra than we had been used to but the room was well worth it. Comfortable (soft bed) spotlessly clean, and the best view in the whole of the gorge. Big windows directly facing the mountain. We had good food while... More

This place could be an amazing thing (great patio and the view), but it is not.. The room we stayed in was rather nice and more or less clean - just something was missing in general. Bathrooms were rather not encouraging to use them but at least they were western style with pseudo showers inside (we were not courageos enough... More

This is not a bad place to end your trek and the location by the cliff is really nice. The staff are friendly and helpful but it all just feels a bit run down and it does seem to have been eclipsed by Tina's for good reason. The rooms are small and pokey and a bit grotty and the food... More

It's a bit further than the popular Tina's, but worth the 20 minute extra walk at the end of the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail. It's got a lot f character and the family are really friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food is a bit pricey compared to everywhere else, and there's no wifi. But sitting on the... More
