We stayed with Marijana for two nights. She was a wonderfully cheerful and helpful host. Our room, no 4, was very clean with modern decor. It opened onto a large balcony with great views over the countryside. A great base for the Plitvice Lakes, and super value.

Excellent spot to visit the national park from. The owner is extremely welcoming and will bend over backwards to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Great sitting and communal areas along with extensive grounds. Breakfast is also very good despite the lack of fresh coffee - I highly recommend this place

We enjoyed our 2 days at House Zupan as the rooms were very clean and the owner was most helpful. There is a communal kitchen/living area for guests as well as plenty of outdoor seating on balconies, etc. The owner provides great advice on walking around the lakes as well as good local restaurants. As there isn't much in this... More

We found the House Zupan to be a charming bed and breakfast with a lovely garden, clean and comfortable rooms, and a very warm and welcoming proprietress. Marijana welcomed us with tea and when the time came to say goodbye, we sampled her wonderful cherry pastries and cherry luqueur. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast ample and... No soundproofing between rooms but rooms were very clean and comfotable. Owner very friendly and helpful. No restaurant or bar within walking distance. Lovely breakfast. Internet connection in our rooms a little patchy but good in the communal room. Quite a way from nearest entrance to park.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the air-con / heater unit worked well. We had a lovely balcony too. The host, Marijana, was absolutely fantastic. She was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She even offered to lend a pair of trainers to my girlfriend for our trip into the park. I recommend House Zupan to anyone who is thinking... More

We could not have asked for a better experience in this part of Croatia! House Zupan is fantastic. Through our own fault we got off the bus at Plitvice, even though Marijana had said she was in Rakovica. So if you are travelling by bus make sure the driver knows to stop in Rakovica. The house is right near the... More

Stayed with a friend for a night in June. Our experience left us speechless. We had told Marijana (the owner) that we were arriving at about 10pm on the bus and asked for directions to the hotel. Marijana informed us that it will be dark and she preferred that we contact her so that she can pick us up (the... More

House Zupan was a great find! It was close to the Plitvice National Park, and it was run by a fantastic lady that could not have been nicer! The rooms were clean and very efficient. We really enjoyed our stay!

My friend and I were traveling from Split to Plitvice National Park and we booked a room at House Zupan. It is owned by a husband and wife and they are the most wonderful couple. We were in contact with them prior to heading to Plitvice to organize how to get from the bus stop to their accommodation. The couple... More
