It really does make a difference to stay in a smaller hotel where the owner and his extended family spend their time. You'll find George, the owner sitting under a tree or at the front desk always willing to problem solve. Everyone working at the hotel came to know us and greeted us with genuine affection. I particularly loved Pela--the... More

First off, the "Marilena" is a different hotel. This review is for the "Marirena." I am an American and travel frequently for business. The Marirena was a clean, quiet, very welcoming and convenient hotel. The owner, George, was extremely helpful and communicated with a taxi service to figure out where in the suburbs my meeting was the next day. All... More

Me and my girlfriend spent 2 weeks in hotel Marirena. The hotel is placed in Amoudara, very close to a long beach and only half an hour away from the city center. Everything at the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the food was delicious. The area around the pool was... More

We're going back next year. The view was spectacular. Stavros Mountain. George, the owner, and his staff were pleasant and good hearted. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were spotlessly clean. And less than 100m to the beach. Highley recommended.

When i bought the last minute to the Marirena hotel, i didn't expect anything. I know what it means 3 star hotel in Greece, but. . .the fact was really terrible. Dirt was everywhere in the room, especially in in the bathroom. Where it was also a lot of ants. The rooms were very noisy, you could hear everything from... More

This quiant little hotel first of all smells like sewer. We stayed here for 8 days and 7 nights. I am so happy to be back home to civilization. So the hotel owner, George, offered us to upgrade a room for an additional charge which we agreed to. He said pack right now. So we did. As we were done... More

I just came back from a week vacation from MariRena Hotel. I checked and double checked hotels and came upon this hotel. The location is the best which I think is the most important. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and there is Havana Bar Beach run by Alex and Maria who are kind hospitable & have great... More
