Recently returned from a fantastic holiday at Uncle George's and was surprised at the negative review from the Russian couple who were there at the same time as us. In the interests of balance I felt I had to reply. It is not always possible to switch rooms or to let guests have their room for an extra day at... More

We stayed in this hotel from 20/07/2014 for 20 days with a family of three, myself, my husband and our son, six years old. When we booked this hotel, we fully understood, that we were booking a 2star hotel, with a minimum amenities, but we were expecting to get a famous Greek hospitality and normal conditions for rest and sleep.... We spent a lovely week here. Kostas and Artemis were so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and contained everything needed though to be honest we didn't cook at all as the food in the restaurant was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We spent a lovely week in this pleasant family run hotel. As vegetarians, we normally feel a little uncomfortable requesting special diet. For Kostas, his wife Artemis, and his wonderful mother, NOTHING was too much trouble. They did everything in their power to make our stay a happy one......and they totally succeeded. We would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone... More

Stayed with my adult son beginning of august, very quiet for time of year. Had lovely room at the back, balcony welcome with nice sea breeze. This was basic apartment but nice large room twin beds with everything you need. Didn't cook as half board. Toast tea/ coffee in morning was fine by us, and lovely home cooked meal each... More

Firstly, the good points: Great location; the beach isn't too far away and there are a few FREE Wi-fi Hotspots on the beach if you are lucky if enough to find the right place. People who run the hotel are very kind and welcoming. The food in the evening time is amazing with a surprisingly great choice for vegetarians. Now,... More

Firstly, a big 'thank you' to all who left a review here, without your comments we may not have booked, and what a treat we would have missed! Without a doubt, Kostas and Artemis made the holiday for us, they are so friendly and welcoming, I know we will stay in touch with them for years to come and definately... More

My boyfriend and I went to Crete last June and we stayed at uncle George's apartment. We chose this destination as it was a last minute deal; cheap and cheerful. The aim of our holiday for to relax and soak up some sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is not a lively area however we did go to a... More

We loved our stay here. Kostas and Artemis made us feel so welcome and it felt like we were eating at our local friendly restaurant every night. The Greek food they served was so tasty and very well priced. The accommodation was very clean and a great standard for the price paid. The beach is just a short stroll down... More
