This is one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in Europe. We were treated really well. We stayed 5 nights, so we were able to get a good feel for the pros and cons here. This hotel would NEVER pass for 5 stars in the US. The decor is HORRID and the structure appears to need some repairs. It seems like an Embassy Suites that was dressed up to be the Meridien. Just seemed cheap and filled with stale air, would not stay there again. more

We loved Le Meridien Lav - absolutely loved it. Recently stayed for 3 days - it didn't start well because the pre-arranged railway station pickup didn't arrive and we had to call and wait. They did redeem on this by comping the pickup, a good customer relations move.
