After checking out our booking at the disappointing Silver Birches "resort" we almost decided that we had to cancel our holiday and return home. Luckily there was a room left here and our vacation was salvaged! Rooms were quaint, clean and food was lovely! We highly recommend this lovely gem !!

i was somewhat dissapointed with the meals and their costs. The fresh pan fried fish left lots to be desired. The bag lunches we not very impresive. On my next buisness trip i shall be looking elsewhere for a place to stay.

This was our first visit to Meldrum Bay. The historic inn and tranquil setting were delightful. The hostess was thoughtful and attentive. A delicious breakfast was served at 9 a.m. We also ate dinner in the restaurant the previous night. It was excellent. The guest rooms are located on the 2nd floor which is accessible by stairs, no elevator. There... More

Lovely setting at a true vintage inn. The charm of this historic inn has not been affected by the renovations. Hosts (Shirin and Bob) were very pleasant. Our dinner was excellent ahthough be sure to reserve ahead of time for dinner as it is very popular. Not a lot to do in the area but well worth the trip for... More

What more could you want? Beautiful location on a very scenic bay. A marina within 50 yards of the inn, where you can also swim. A historic building well adapted to its current use. Tastefully furnished and decorated rooms. Quiet nights for deep sleeping! Very hospitable and efficient hostess in Shirin. Excellent restaurant where you can eat inside or outside,... More

The B and B is small and awesome. The hosts pay attention to every detail. Be sure to get dinner with them. It's worth it. The rooms are so nicely decorated. I would recommend this place to any couple that is travelling and looking for an amazing little get away.

We checked into customs at Meldrum Bay....heard about the Inn and the famous pies. This place (and the community) exceeded our expectations. Shirin and Bob were outstanding hosts and obviously love what they do. The place was charming and the food outstanding; we had fresh lake trout, white fish and of course the pie. You will not be disappointed.

Meldrum Bay Inn, truly an amazing place with amazing food and hosts, Bob and Shirin. I have stayed twice now and both times were more than great. I was there on business and felt and was treated like I was at home.

Bob and Shirin have been our wonderful hosts at the Inn for about six or seven years now, and we go back each year to enjoy the wonderful scenery and quiet that you will find here. The Inn is at the end of the road on the farthest western end of Manitoulin Island, but the drive is delightful and a... More

My wife and I and another couple booked in advance (two rooms plus dinner) and the back and forth communication via email and phone was prompt and friendly. Upon arrival, after driving through pounding rain and high winds, we found that the power was out, but Bob had fired up the generators. Shirin greeted us like old friends, even though... More
