Great stay, beautiful house set in gorgeous gardens. With lovely rooms, in a beautiful scenic area. Amazing breakfasts and a great host. We really enjoyed our stay, and we are looking forward to staying again in the future

Whilst I say out of the way, it isn't if you have a car, it is relatively close to everything but if on foot or bike it could be a regarded as out of the way. Really lovely B&B - rooms fabulous, roomy and light and airy. The hostess, Margo, is pleasant and serves a nice breakfast. I would certainly... More

We booked this accommodation last minute after viewing it on the internet, it did not disappoint. The Longstone room was beautiful, with masses of space for our 18 month old to run around. Margo was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. After breakfast no more food was needed until Cornish cream tea. A beautiful location to which I'm sure... More

This is our second visit to The Byre at Menkee Barns, self catering barn conversion. Again everything is fantastic. A welcome pack of milk, eggs, butter, mushrooms, bacon and Margo's lovely homemade shortbread was waiting for us, as well as as tea, coffee and sugar and fresh flowers. This barn conversion is really superb, with fantastic views from the private... More

My wife made the reservation for my grandson and me. Our arrival was warmly welcomed by Gage and Liz as we dodged raindrops and a cold breeze. A delicious breakfast was basically made to order, with several choices from Liz's kitchen. There was plenty to satisfy my teenage grandson's appetite. Gage supplied us with the morning's newspaper. We were staying... More

My partner and I had left finding a B&B during August bank holiday until the last minute but stumbled across this place. When we called, the friendly lady explained that she had one room left and it was the 'small double'. When we arrived not only did we drive up to a stunning barn conversion set in gorgeous gardens but... More

My husband and I stayed a week here and found it to be one of the nicest, best thought out cottages we have ever stayed in--and that is quite a few. Not only was the cottage large, new, and tastefully decorated, but the owners have considered every dmall detail one hopes for when traveling: things like good quality beds, magnifying... More

We have always wanted to stay in a converted Barn and we certainly picked the best there could possibly be as Margo and Robert have done a incredible job on converting their barn into the most beautiful accommodation that you could wish to stay in. We had the Longstone Bedroom which was delightful and overlooked the wonderful gardens and countryside... More

We have just stayed self catering at The Byre at Menkee Barns. This was an excellent choice, giving very comfortable accomodation in a lovely setting. It is convenient to a number of beaches and coastal walks.

As soon as you arrive at "Menkee Barns" you know that you discovered a very special place. It is not just the kind and friendly welcome but it is the fact that everything around you is so very beautiful. The artistic ambience is amazing as everywhere you look you see a lovely picture or ornament. The well ordered bedrooms have... More
