Dirty, dingy and very out dated. Furniture and beds are filthy! Motel needs a good 'scrubbing' inside and out. The only remedy would be to gut it and rebuild. Booked our rooms in advance for a family function, and every room was terrible. Very embarrassing!!

When you're driving through small towns in southern Alberta there are a number that have no hotel/motels in which to stay . . . Vulcan has three. Sort of. The downtown hotel is 100 years old and appears to be in need of repair, we never even went in. The newer motel has rooms so small you'd need to be... More

I stayed here for convenience one night and the guy checks me into a room where the doors are locked by the chain, he apologizes and unlocks it from inside - ok kinda weird. I go back two nights later and he checks me in to a room with somebody in it.

On the plus side: good pressure in shower, fridge in room, access from the outside of hotel On the negative side: very dated, no clock, coffee maker didn't work (which the previous occupant probably discovered as there was still water in the reservoir), tiles in front of sink were missing so much grout that they moved, stained carpet and chairs,... Spent one night at the motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Room included a microwave, fridge, A/C and TV. Free continental breakfast was fresh and filling. It's a little dated but served the purpose well for small town accommodation.

We stayed one night here because of proximity to a funeral we were attending. The room smelled clean and fresh. The beds were fairly new and comfortable. Some of the decor was dated but otherwise acceptable. TV and high speed internet was good. The attached restaurant was excellent. Home style cooking at its best! The staff were very pleasant and... Well I am not so sure about that other guy, but when I stayed at the hotel, I was greated by nice staff, the rooms were clean and I didn't notice any kids. The restaraunt food was fairly decent and the restaurant staff and lounge staff were very polite. I am headed back for Spock Days!
