In a tastefully converted small palace with huge garden at rear, this hotel inspires relaxation and provides good food. There's a bar too, with terraces at rear and an outdoor swimming pool. My room was very large and had good A/C, though a very limited choice of English language TV channels (basically, just Sky News). The bathroom was also big,... More

We stayed at this hotel with a group travelling to see Roman sites. The public areas of the hotel are very smart, and the gardens are lovely; the bedrooms clearly had been but were in need of a little refurbishment. I'd score the building itself a 4. We thought breakfast was pretty good, but the evening meals really let the... More

Ercolano is typical for the area, a run down, dirty, noisy town. This hotel is an oasis among it! We stayed here for a week with an archaeology study tour and it is an excellent base for visiting Roman sites around Naples. Our room (208) was huge with a massive roof terrace with views to the sea and to Vesuvius.... More

This is a wonderful, elegant hotel, an oasis of peace and luxury in the midst of the noise and confusion of Ercolano, only a few steps away from the excavations and from excellent restaurants. Excellent staff, glorious breakfast outdoors, a beautiful garden and swimming pool. And parking!

We loved every minute of staying in this hotel. Friendly staff, excelant service. beautiful room, gorgeous gardens, wonderful meals. Can't wait to come back, would highly recommend it. It's just a short walk from the site and cafes etc.

We stayed a night at this hotel in order to visit the sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, primarily because Herculaneum is a convenient 5 minute walk from the hotel. We booked a family room which was very spacious and had the added bonus of an outside patio area. Our room was clean, well decorated and presented to a high standard.... More

As other reviewer wrote, the outside looks of the hotel are not as on the promising pictures. It looks a bit like the rest of the town: faded glory. Luckily, they took the pictures from the best angle, otherwise nobody would experience the atypical and extraordinairy beauty of this hotel. Keep in mind that the building is more than 200... More

The roman ruins at Herculaneum are arguably better than the more famous and much larger Pompeii. Whilst Pompeii was cut off at the knees by a lava flow Herculaneum was covered in soft spongy rock (pyroclastic flows). This preserved much more of the buildings including the upper levels of houses, so the impression that you get walking around Herculaneum is... More

Driving into Ercolano we were a bit nervous. The town is very run down. Lots of rubbish in the streets. The outside of the hotel is also a little tired looking. On walking into the foyer all our worries were gone. It's a beautiful, regal building, preserved/restored. High ceilings, huge flower arrangements. The Front Desk staff were polite and professional.... More

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, both in terms of comfort, service, & ease ot travel.I would definitely recommend it to others! We had a twin room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, looking out towards the sea. The room and bathroom were spacious and bright, with comfortable beds & lovely furnishings.... More
