Had 3 nights here as a base for seeing the archaeology around the bay of Naples. It is ideally located, half way up Vesuvius, and within easy reach of most of the main sites. The property is fabulous, located in a beautiful garden (which due to the weather we could not use as much as we would have liked. The... More

The house is gorgeous - fireplace, decoration, garden, it has spirit.. The view towards the bay of Naples is fantastic. it is situated on quite street almost on top of the living area on Vesuvius. You cannot dream for more if you are with car and you plan to explore Naples, Herculaneum and Pompeii, even Sorrento, etc. What are the... More

We chose the place because it was part of a promotion package (that I got as a present). It turned to be a good choice. To find the place is not very easy but with a route planner there is no issue. It's basically halfway up the Vesuvius vulcano, behind some small Napoli outskirt villages, along a small road. It's... More

Half way up Vesuvius, we have chosen this B&B to explorer Pompeii, Oplontis and Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, and the property has fantastic views over the bay of Naples. Breakfast on the outdoor terrace was a delight. Good location, we had a car but local buses passed by.

This was our first night in Italy. It was nice to arrive at this welcoming B&B. The welcome was warm, the room was lovely and the view was breathtaking. Although it started to rain in the morning, we could stil enjoy the view from the closed patio and enjoy our breakfast overlooking the bay of Naples. We stayed one night... More

I picked le fumarole as a last stop before we flew back from Naples early next morning. What a wonderful place and hostess. At such short notice, Francesco arranged an amazing dinner and had breakfast for us to take to the airport next morning. The afternoon on our terrace overlooking the bay was one I will always remember. This place... More

Beautiful and well maintained garden, nice rooms, sweet and kind owner and exceptional views from the balcony - terrific! We had a very nice evening sitting on the balcony, looking at the city lights, enjoying the company of the B&B's huge and elderly dog Augustus and listening to a band rehersal (sounded more like a concert actually, well played, guys!)... We felt SO lucky that we found Le Funarole through Trip Advisor - 2 special nights as part of our 25th wedding anniversary trip through Italy and Greece. Perfect location from which we drove to Pompeii and Sorrento in one day, picked up take-out pizza and wine from the B&B recommended restaurant on the way home, took it back to... More

We found this wonderful b&b by searching the web and once we saw the great reviews on tripadvisor didn't hesitate to book it for the first four nights of our holiday. We were certainly not disappointed. our room was lovely, just as it was shown on the website, and the maid kept it immaculately clean, even folding the clothes we... More

A client had recommended Le Fumarole for its spectacular views and creatively decorated rooms. In addition, what we encountered was a delightful retreat while touring Herculanium, Pompeii and Naples with a hostess (Maria Grazia) possessing an unquantifiable generosity of spirit. And inspired breakfasts of her home-grown fruits and locally produced cheeses and breads. Don't forget to a have a conversation with her... More
