When we first arrived at the Rio Serrano, we were very impressed. The views are incredible and the hikes we signed up for were great. The food was good (little variation in the buffet but then again you are in the middle of nowhere). The rooms were clean with a great view and very comfortable. If you are visiting the... More

The hotel is set at the edge of the Torres del Paine national park. It has the most tremendous views of the massive and it has a wonderful and tranquil setting. We stayed here after touring the park and we were really pleased that we took a whole day just to walk the area around the hotel. There is a... More

Right outside the official entrance to Torres del Paine national park is this giant hotel with all the fixings and luxury you will need. Personally I would prefer less luxury, but we could not find such an authentic place on any booking sites. Rio Serrano is crammed with tour groups and rich tourists (agreed, there is many of those in... More

No... Really, Wow! all the cons (if any) disappears when you open the curtain to such a beautiful view. The hotel is in the "middle of nowhere" inside the park and the torres are right outside the window. the hotel is very nice with huge lobby and many places to sit and rest in front of the view. There are... More

We spent our first three nights at Torres del Paine in the Hotel Rio Serrano. Biggest plus: It’s very centrally located with beautiful views of the massif and other areas. From our window, we could watch horses calmly grazing, plus there are easy places to walk right from the hotel. Biggest downside: It’s expensive for the services provided and feels... More

We paid extra to have a mountain view, the view was awesome and speaking to other people who did not have a room with a view, glad we did. The room itself however had no bin except in the bathroom which is where the toilet tissue went. Not exactly hygienic. So all rubbish in one bin. No feminine hygiene disposal... More

We stayed 16th to 19th March 2014 This is a very good hotel, sat there on its own on flat land by a bend in the Serrano River. The view from the public rooms and from the back bedrooms are almost hypnotic; there, over the horse pasture and across the river are the magnificent peaks of Cuernos Del Paine. For... More

Perfectly good modern hotel, a bit stark and utilitarian to look at from the outside (but who wants a neo-Classical mock-up in the middle of a Patagonian National Park?), and inside too, but comfortable enough. It sounds as though the rooms with the view of the Cuernos del Paine are the best bet; those on the other side are a... More

We looked at different options to celebrate our 33rd anniversary in Torres del Paine and settled for hotel Rio Serrano and we were so impressed with its accommodation and hospitality. From the initial contact, Sebastian was very responsive and answered our inquiries promptly each time. We mentioned to him that we did not want anything to go wrong. He went... More

This hotel has the most amazing view ever! But, when you're done looking at the view there is also a lovely bar and decent restaurant. The restaurant only services a buffet, which is fine as there's loads to choose from, it offers variety and the food itself is really good. However, we stayed there for 4 nights and I think... More
