The hot spring is sulfur mixed with bicarbonate. But it did not feels like had sulfur. The breakfast is good with Aso milk. The dinner is buffet. But there is no horse meat, the famous Aso food. I prefer set manu. The English of front desk is poor. You can walk to hotel, It takes 15min from Aso station. If... More

We were touring Japan and stayed here for two nights over a public holiday. The hotel was full of families of all ages. The hotel sprawls across it's site and is confusing to find your way around at first. We were the only western tourists and there were few staff who were able to speak English. Those that could only... More

We have just spent 4 nights at Aso Villa Park Hotel. A huge Hotel & rooms were nice & clean & tidy & rather spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. Most hotels in Japan have toiletries in large bottles of shampoo, soap etc..always throughout Japan you have toothbrushes, hairbrushes etc supplied. My husband enjoyed the Hot Spring baths which... We were on a three night bus tour with Trapics and this was our first nights Hotel. We all gathered in the foyer and were told all about the hotel and where the onsens [hot spring baths] were before being shown to our rooms. We straight away got into our yukata's and went to the hot spring bath. Male and... More

Stayed in this hotel with a tour. Hotel had free WiFi in lobby area. The hotel room was spacious compared to Tokyo’s standard. TV in room only had 6 local channels but there were no toiletries in the bathroom. Dinner buffet was fine as steak were juicy and tender. Breakfast was ok with half of the choices being Japanese style.... More

We travelled to Kyushu and had planned to stay in Beppu aftre a visit to Takachiho Gorge. There were road closures due to the heavy rain and mudslides the day before in Kyushu so we had to change plans at the very last minute. We walked into this hotel and booked a room to stay. It is a Japanese resort... More

It is a huge hotel with Japanse people only. It was very crowded. It accomodated buses with children groups and a lot of families. The hotel gave us the impression of an old hospital building. It even smelled like it. The staff doesn't speak english which makes it hard to communicate with them It is in walking distance from the... More

This is not the sort of place we normally would chose to stay. It's a huge hotel complex, targetted at families, and very much a Japanese take on an all inclusive resort. However, we wanted somewhere not too expensive, within walking distance of Aso JR station, that we could book on the internet as we don't speak Japanese. While there's... More
