Would rate this higher if we weren't stuck in a roadside room where you can hear the moto's go through the night. The room itself is neat and tidy, with a large bathroom and instant hot water from the shower (a big change from the other places further down the Mekong!). Wifi didn't fully reach into the room, however was... More

We stayed here twice. The first time it was great, clean, nice staff and a good restaurant downstairs. Then we went to tad lo and came back a second time. The second time our water ran out mid shower (due to construction, nobody's fault) but there was no warning or anything. The. After being quite grumpy that the wifi didn't... More

I didn't quite know what i was going to get for such a low price; but this hotel was great! The lobby was huge with a very good restaurant. The rooms were good with very comfy beds. Shower pressure was soft but did have hot water. A little noisy since on main road but the great beds provided for good... More

A simple but more than adequate base for explorations. Very efficient staff nice lobby/restaurant. A good solid choice. Main Street a bit noisy but allows one to people watch from small balcony and everything quiets down for a good nights sleep.

Pakse is an unremarkable provincial town. For the tourist, it's usually just a stop-off point to other far more appealing places around it. We stayed at the Phi Dao twice; on our way to the Four Thousand Islands and again on our way back. We took two rooms both times. Our first impression was not so great. First, the road... More

Stumbled onto this hotel by accident after visiting both the Vilaysing and the Royal Pakse hotel, the latter of the two being absolutely filthy with dirty floors and garbage everywhere. The Phidao, which is located between the two, is a little more expensive but certainly worth the extra 5$ or so. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well... More

This is our 6th visit Pakse and we have previously always stayed at the Sang Aroun, but have noticed a gradual decline in quality and so we decided on a change. Having read good reports of the Phi Dao hotel we decided to give it ago, and we were very impressed with the size and quality of the bedrooms, in... More

After having tried several other places I finally ended up here, and I haven't regretted. The hotel is new with high, light, spacious and well-furnished rooms. Service was great without anything to complain. The only downside is the noise from the main street. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid the rooms towards the front side x03 to x06. After one... My prasies for this hotel could not go far enough. We had a split stay here with a trip booked in the middle. Still the staff couldnt do more to help, they were very welcoming and very pleased to see us return. The room was large, modern and luxurious for the price. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated... More

As Pakse regulars we always found the hotels disappointing and way overpriced for the location (value for money on average is even better in Vientiane). That was until we stayed at the Phi Dao hotel - we will never stay at a different one again. The rooms are new and modern, ultra clean, nicely furnished and freshly renovated. The bathroom... More
