I booked there after reading the enthusiastic comments here which end up to be totally misleading as well as the hotel's rating. This is not more than 2* bed+breakf. and nothing more than that!! Not for quality travellers, it is rather suitable for backpackers who want to treat themselves. -Dirty towels, brown stains on all of them, i had to... More

Really nice hotel in Pakse.good retreat after dusty Bolaven Plateau. Nice rooms, decorated with charm...very good breakfast. we enjoyed our stay here and had a good night sleep. Unluckily the welcome was not the friendliest.

Our first night, it doesn't look good so far, if things improve, I will change my review. So far - Rock hard mattress A Luke warm shower No tea & Coffee facilities in the room No bathrobes (ok so a luxury item but . . . ) Ooo just found an 'Electronic power heater' under the sink, unfortunately there is... Just an average hotel to be honest. Rooms are okay (make sure you turn a hidden switch on for a hot shower), plenty of space for your lugage. A true downside is the elevator from 1700. Extremely slow and almost impossible to fit more than 3 persons. Okay for an overnight, Pakse isn't suitable for more days either.

We booked a deluxe room with four poster bed, the room was nice but the standard room would of been enough. Comparing the service to the price, we would say that the hotel is too expensive. The serving staff were nice though, breakfast ok, & great coffee in their cafe downstairs.

Small hotel (19 rooms) with superb atmosphere. This is truly a boutique hotel (although they don’t claim this)! We had one of the suites which is very spacious and has a large balcony overlooking the river. Good Wi-Fi on the corridors and in the lounge on the top floor (not in the room), very good breakfast and excellent coffee (best... More

Pakse is a quite ugly city with nothing special to see. So having a nice hotel before and after our Mekong Cruise was quite helpful. Residence Sisouk is a boutique hotel with rooms furnitured in the old colonial style - we liked it! Friendly and supportive staff, breakfast is quite basic and made to order (so bring some time), complimentary... More

good things first: great location and friendly staff but: the rooms are quite noisy - both street noise and other guests (and especially the elevator with its annoying "pling"); the breakfast is boring (although the view is amazing), the cafe on the ground floor has better offers - but that costs of course extra since I prolonged my stay with... Overall, the stay at the Residence Sisouk was most pleasant. The room was very comfortable with both air con and a fan. The bathroom was a bit small as was the shower stall. The 'hot' water was lukewarm. The wi-fi was very slow during the day. Could only use it with any regularity during the early morning or late at... More

I warmed to this place, spending three days there, one before a Mekong cruise and two after. The owner has lovingly restored this building to turn it into a hotel with a colonial feel and an interesting history, too. She could not have been more helpful and kindly let us have dinner without having booked it. Breakfast was good in... More
